Best Express Pace Bowler

As good as Zaheer and Flintoff are they wouldn't be considered express pace, Flintoff wouldn't quite be quick enough to be express pace imo.

How about another twist in this thread, the best up and coming express pace bowler. I'm not talking about anyone currently playing international cricket (Tait for instance) but someone up and coming in your domestic season.

I would say Tremlett, as he isnt a full time England player yet and he was just filling the gap, he has potential to be express pace.

Drugs Cheat. That immediately rules him out of contention.

he wasnt always a cheat, he probably wasnt when he bowled that 100+mph delivery. in my opinion Akhtar was/is(i guees) the best true express fast bowler that played cricket now. i dont know if Malcolm Marshall was a true express bowler but if he was than id put him ahead of everyone. and also i cant forget Andy Roberts the best there was in my eyes.

Yes but the drugs thing, has blown away all the respect anyone had for his athletic ability.

Tremlett is far from express and he is certainly not in the league of the Bonds, Lees, Malinga's, Taits of the world.

I'd call Flintoff express. Anyone who can bowl high 140's I think can be considered. I've seen Flintoff bowl that quick before.

I've said it before and i'll say it again, Tremlett just doesn't have the action to be express. It's not energetic enough and is too casual.

He was averaging 90 yesterday, which surprised me. A great line too

Dare - Most of the WIndies bowlers at that time were express pace, one of the reasons why batsman ran to the hills.

Tremlett? He's good and got talent, but he isn't express. Enough pace, but not express.

For some reason Tremlett reminds me of Thirunavukkarasu Kumaran, Abey Kuruvilla and Tinu Yohannan... :p

Did they stand on each others shoulders and put a big sheet over their head?

..........

;)

Can we include Tait amongst the best? I know he was super in the World Cup (his first real tournament), but is that enough for a player to be recognized amongst the best of his category?

Well, he has bowled some of the quickest overs in recorded history, so I guess so.

Yeh, his bowling is oh so quick. I remember watching an over where he was over 93mph every ball.

well if your just considering pace then yes, but if youre considering a person with pace and also who knows how to control it reasonably, then no, because i remember him bowling wuite a lot of wides against ireland in the world cup...but still he was great in the WC

I love watching Shane Bond bowl. He has a brilliant inswinger yorker which can clean up nearly every batsman. He's deadly at best.

I agree 100% with Gilly, everything about him is just exicitng to watch, awesome action over all.

Deadly yorker, truly amazing bowler. The best right now, in my opinion.
