Big Ant Cricket first video

I agree. However, it would not be fair on our part to expect Big Ant to get each and every part of game right just in their first Cricket game, one feature adds to a request for another, this can never end. What matters at the end of the day are intentions, and we need to appreciate the fact that Big Ant are striving to deliver the best Cricket game ever.

Maybe sometime in future we would have an animation editor where you could edit the bowler/batsman animations :)!!!! It could be done by allowing us to choose where the arm is before, at the time, and after the delivery.....how to run up is etc

Worth the wait if it makes a difference I might add. Not much point being able to make a 7 foot bowler if he gets the same pace and bounce as a 5 foot bowler does! ;) But again, this will come down to how well thought out the gameplay is.

Agreed, pointless to have customisation without effect.

There is a marked difference the deliveries based on the attributes of the bowler and of course the qualities of the surface (pitch type, degredation, etc..).

I wish could do this, unfortunately I believe we are a long way off getting such things in games.

As an example of the complexity, every time you plant your foot there is a ripple of force through every part of you body from the ankle through the neck and wrist - it is not something you think you "see" but without capturing it your brain knows there is something wrong, it's what leads to the "robotic" look of some games and animation. Animation cannot be done in parts, it needs to be a whole capture.

(I hope that made some sense.)

Why not use motion capture?

do u guys have license of any team???????

I don't think it will be licensed so that why they got team and player editor so you can choose your team and create them. That what I think so don't get up set

Why not use motion capture?

We do, the issue is that it cannot be edited on the fly by the player as it is a motion capture. (The initial question related to editing animation.)

That's some extensive customization options! Visuals are really looking polished. If there's ability to share the customized rosters with others online, it'll be perfect.

edit: I see the upload feature. :D This game will be awesome.

Hey Ross,
Can you please upload the video on some other website aswell? Many from Pakistan can't watch the video as Youtube is banned in their country. Thanks! :)

I didn't know that - I will bear it in mind. (Thanks MattW for hosting.)

Hey Ross video looks amazing.
Will we get cricket academy before games release?
And will be downloadable via pan network?

So you do assure us that this game would feature more life like animations than the robotic ones of all previous titles? (except BLC 99 I suppose)
