Biggest hitters in the game.

In terms of pure power without any shadow of a doubt Flintoff he can hit the ball miles, but over the last year he has changed his policy and rarely goes for power sixes unless the boundaries are very big but instead relies on timing so placement is better because of the small boundaries nowadays.

What about Brett Lee?

There was a test at Adelaide I think not so long ago that he hit about 3-4 sixes and one of them cleared the ground, that was a huge six.

But to be honest the biggest six I have seen is by Steve or Mark Waugh, it was many many years at the MCG, he hit a straight six that landed on the back of the roof on the stadium, and if you have been to the MCG you know those stadiums are huge.

Wasn't that the Gabba where he nailed Daren Powell? He did it at Trent Bridge in the Ashes too, hit Simon Hughes' truck I believe!

On Flintoff, anyone remember that hit straight down the ground in the 2nd innings at Edgbaston, that was big...

In the First Test against the West Indies, Lee hit the practice nets outside the Wolloongabba ground.

Here's a site plan of the Gabba, if you want to try to figure out the size of the hit. The playing area itself is about 170x150m (oval, not rectangular, though) so at a guess, the hit was 150m+.

u guys talk about big hitters ,have u ever seen DHONI hit one ..
The way he made 186* against SRI was full of big hitting .
On that day even ATAPATTU had said "...no point of putting fielders for him..."

Kemp's hit off of Bond was one of the biggest I've seen.

You havn't seen many big sixes then. Orams on the weekend blew that out of the water.

did any one see afridi in vb series while he hit a six on symond ball that was a huge hit and even micheal holding said he should get for that 12 not 6.

Are we talking about biggest 6, or biggest hitter. For example Geoff Boycott could of hit one miles, he wouldn't be a "Biggest hitter".

The biggest 6 ever is the one Albert Trott hit over the pavillion at Lord's, no contest there.

If we're talking about the biggest hitter in the game today, it's a close run thing, but Flintoff and Afridi both are up there.

i dont know wot the fuss is all bout. afridi is easily the biggest and consistant big hitter.flintoff no and near him he only started playin well about year and a half ago and afridi has been the biggest hitter since his debut. also do u remember wot he did to india in kanpur 2005 and in his debut wehen he got the fastest century.so i dnt remember flintoff playin a innings like afridi and u cant compare flintoff sixes wiv afridi. im not critacising flintoff. and im also not taking afridis side because im a pakistani. im just telling the truth.

if u think that was the biggest 6 than u havnt seen afridis .troots's 6 might be massive but not as big as afridi in the vb series to support this i dont think i need to say anything because im sure you have heard that afridi has the record of the biggest 6.which obviouly means troot's 6 was smaller. and if u knew that afridis was bigger than troots the im sorry your dumb.and i dont remember seeing a six by flintoff that i close to afridis which he hit in the vb series to symonds.

I'll try and translate from whatever language you're speaking.

I have seen Afridi's 6 in the VB series. And if you think that would have cleared the pavillion at Lord's, then you obviously have never seen the pavillion at Lord's.

And you call me dumb? Using your second post to insult a moderator is about as dumb as you can get.
