wow, you have that card and you didn't know how cool it was??

i get 6-7 fps for cutscenes and 10fps in game on 1024x768x32 using Nvidia 6600(256MB), 1GB RAM, P42.4Ghz :mad

even EA07 ran at 60fps consistently for me.

I have pretty much the same specs except I have a 2.8Ghz Pentium D and I am equally frustrated. Hopeflly there have been some optimizations n the code since the demo build was finalized.

I very much expect that the full game will have graphics options to turn model detail levels, texture detail levels, etc. on and off, but the demo doesn't have this.

That's just a guess.

There's a lot of difference between 6600GT and 6600. I have a full graphic card shootout at my hand ( a list i mean, with prices and performance ) so ican help out anyone whose going out to buy one :)

EA 07 runs on 1024*768 at a onboard 82845 :p :D:D:D:D:D

Codies do have to do something about it. Its the same scenario as NFS Carbon. The graphics are not even as cool as the requirements go :(

though i did do something for myself. I flashed my cards bios and other games which wanted SM 2 have somehow started to work. My mobo burned out yesterday so i am waiting for a new one today. I'll download BLIC and lets see how a flashed Mx4000 performs ;)

For anyone heading out on a budget, i would seriously recommend an XFX 7600 Extreme edition.
This card comes overclocked and therefore matches the 7600GT in core speed, and a little lag in memory. The core is same, therefore the performance is huge. The card gave 55fps in Far cry at 1280 * 1024 at 8x aa and 8x af, say no more :eek:

I want to know if there's some kind of a frame limiter in this game that the game doesnt cross the particular frame rate ? That happened to me in San andreas, the game was running at 20 frames, and when i switched on video capture it still remained the same

I think nvidia will soon release a new driver . Whats the latest one ? I heard it was forceware 93.71 is it ? or i am outdated ?

Just ran the game for the first time. My specs:

P4 3 ghz
512 MB RAM
128MB GeForce 6600 GT

thought I would try on 2x AA and 1280x1024 and had to restart my rig it would of been lucky to give 1 frame per minute let alone second lol

800x600 no aa it was just bearable

Then i think we'll have to make some kind of a raptor for it, like it was done in FIFA 07 to reduce the resolution or increase it , including other details...

Isnt it perhaps an AGP v PCI express thing? So far it seems like the people with APG cards seems to get pretty good results while others with pretty good and newer cards get like 10fps wtf??

hi, i got two questions. i have an ati graphics card. in the add/remove window i see two of these "ati catalyst control center" and "ati display driver". which one should i uninstall?

another question. i am running it in my laptop. it's widows xp media center edition and the card is radeon x1400 hypermemory. but in the ati site in the media center edition there is no x1400. but there is one in xp home/professional inside the mobility radeon section. should i download this one??

sorry if these are stupid questions. :)

Uninstall both, just uninstall the driver first.

Use the normal xp download, essentially its the same.

This is not true, PCI has twice the available bandwidth compared to agp, ot though it has been shown that this doesnt make as much difference as you would think.

well u can use 3d analyse to turn some options off if u cant run the game
i dont know it might work
i remember i used it to run POP Sands of Time which required pixel shaders on my MX-4000 with pretty good results too.

An advice for everyone with performance issues

So all of you with severe (Read:ridiculous) performance issue while playing demo,I have two suggestions:

A:> Use 3D Analyzer

www.tommti-systems.com/main-Dateien/files.html

In the tool, check the following options :

Force Z-Buffer
Disable Lighting
Disable 2 sided stencil
Force anisotropic filtering

Remove Stuttering -> Performance Mode

Z-Buffer -> Force 24-bit Z-Buffer (without stencil)

Ok agreed that the graphics would look crap, but the demo becomes much more playable with those settings in use.

B:> Use Riva-Tuner :

www.guru3d.com/rivatuner/

This is one of the [if the not the] best tweaking utilities for your graphic card.Besides an obvious feature like over-clocking, it also allows various advanced options. It also allows tweaking your drivers.Try messing with the options,over-clock your GPU and try to extract maximum performance from your card!

The performance wont increase/improve drastically..But sure i could myself feel the difference..Besides both of the tools being freewares , theres hardly anything to lose ! Just give it a try guys !

Cheers !!

can I use the 3D Analyzer to turn the shader model to 3.0 ,cuz in my game the shader is not supporting by the game even using it with 6600GT and 7600GT with no lightning.
PLS help would be appreciating.
