The first wicket I've seen today!
(I was at work for the entire first three hours of play)

Gill must play
If at all he can replace someone in the current scheme of things notwithstanding his poor career average it is Rohit. Possibly (and I hope) it is Rohit's last series coz there isn't much from him left unfortunately.

Players like Vihari and even Sarfaraz (after he is schooled on temperament) apart from Gill can be given chances in Test matches.

I believe Gill, Sarfaraz and Axar could be tried for Rohit, Virat and Jadeja in months to come.

Kudos to NKR and Washington - the former proving to be thorn in the flesh again for Australia while the latter definitely being the find of the series for India.

Follow on has been avoided but Australia still firmly ahead. They can bat 2 full sessions and set a target in excess of 350 with 4 sessions to get India out.

It's commendable though that India did survive the whole day with just 5 wickets in the bank (yes, some time was lost but still counts), which makes one wonder just how much dead weight are we carrying around in the team.

If Cummins can get 49, Washington can get 50 and NKR regularly getting 40s, how on earth are some of the "specialist" batsmen not able to hold down the fort?

180 all out is possible with this Australia team and India have 300 target in 100 overs, need the fast medium bowlers to support Bumrah and the spinners to get 3 wickets

Welcome to international cricket Kid Sam Konstas.
