Zaheer will be playing Practice match tomorrow. He has to play both matches to prove his fitness.

Quick note on Starc - picked more on potential than his numbers.

Forgot to comment on this before. I agree Starc has potential, but he hasn't quite reached it at FC level for me. I think what gave him the edge in selection was being a left-arm paceman with some handy batting. Others had compared him to Johnson during the domestic season, before he was even in the running for a Test cap, and as soon as Johnson was ruled out, Starc's name popped up.
The fact that he'd played 3 games in a row at the Gabba just before with good results was the icing on the cake.

I'm not saying he should be given up on though, like George, McKay, Hilfy, McDonald and whoever else have been. Another season or two in shield cricket won't hurt him though, he's not even 22 yet, but with Cummins (18), Pattinson (21), Lyon (24) and Siddle (27), we've got youth on our side already.

Just noticed the tour match is at Manuka Oval, any bowlers that can take wickets on that track are doing really well.

India bowling first, George is 12th man, obviously will be a lock for the next game. I notice Solway just made a 160 odd in Future League, will be good seeing how he goes. Likewise Tom "perform only against NSW" Cooper.
