Border-Gavaskar Trophy (India in Australia) Dec-Jan 2011/12

At least Sharma did India the service of writing himself off in a tour game. Zaheer Khan will probably wait until the Test matches.

So it has already started :eek: Atleast Australia are not doing great in the injury dept as well. :lol

Oh just remembered this game won't count in the FC stats, poor Cooper if he gets his second hundred it won't be counted as such.

Dravid captains India again vs Cricket Australia Chairman's XI.I liked the way he used to captain India in test matches but was a disaster in ODIs.
Wesley Robinson and Tom Cooper have made good half-centuries so far and Umesh Yadav has looked in good nick with the ball but R.Vinay Kumar has been hammered a few times now.....Will India miss Varun Aaron.....He could've been deadly in Aussie conditions??...

Australia batsman David Warner faces a fitness test for a back injury before Sydney Thunder's KFC T20 Big Bash League clash with Melbourne Stars on Saturday.

Hopefully Warner doesn't waste his time and risk further injury in the BBL. The tour match is a bit more important for match practice before the tests.

Also, Marsh is confident he can be fit for the Boxing Day test.

I really hope Ishant Sharma is fine,India needs him.

:facepalm and here we go, injury for player starts. I tweaking hope he is not injured

I would not say that but yes, if Zak follows him then India will :p

Are there any Australia supporters who wouldn't happily take 3/300 at the end of Boxing Day? Maybe we should just replace our top six with the Chairman's XI.

That's very true, but the fact of the matter is our current top 7 aren't good enough, particularly against the moving ball. They made Doug Bracewell look like Jimmy Anderson the other day. For whatever reason, they are consistently under performing. So why would you lengthen your tail when you know damn well your batsmen are struggling?

Yeah I get your point mate, it is just a sad thing to have to do.:p

I think we had to lose that one though...if David Warner had have won us a Test match with a well-measured century I think the world would have exploded.

Wow, if India's batsmen get rolled cheaply they will be in some big trouble this series by the looks of things.

Well, Umesh Yadav has bowled well. 15 overs 39 for 3 on a pitch which looks road to me

Typical flashy Robinson innings so far. 5 off 54. Should get to his 50 in 175.

He's exactly what Australia needs right now :noway Someone with a bit of discipline.

Yadav's just taken a quick 2 wickets - they'll need him in form if Ishant is going to struggle with injury. Can't find any real info yet apart from that is it foot related, or maybe ankle - somewhere in that area :p

Vinay kumar's figures show why he should not be anywhere near the test squad.
