BOWLING CONFIGS - Testers needed

hi zimrahil!!
i'm back again!!!
can u pls send me the pitch changing condition patch in a five day test and also the tinternet.cfg ..which will make the human batting more tougher......
thanx and waiting for your reply
send it to
[email protected]
bye and keep up the good work

zim thanks for files.... i will let u know about configs very soon....because now we have to play full test match....
n paul i think u r good bowler... because whenever i bowl to cpu they scored always over 200 .... :)
anyway.... n do u guys have any suggestion why cpu bowler does not bowl around the wicket.?

Iaq, the reason for always going over the wicket is probably the same as why it never bowls a slower ball, it could be a set of settings that we can not find/edit, very annoying it is too. Thanks for your compliment, I think it is more a case of poor batting, ie. Warne hat-trick with 3 googlies as the cpu all out for 89 on a normal pitch. Also, I have found it more rewarding to bowl by altering the camera angle, I am bowling at the moment with aerial cam, this allows the fast bowler to pitch the ball well up on outside off, you can get the position better, if you see what I mean, of the ball.

paul
I take my hat off to you. Scoring over 500 using my tinternatbat.cfg config on test level in my opinion is a remarkable feat :)

Don't think changing the rot files would have any bearing on your batting ability. I think all the factors of missingedging the ball etc are down to your timing and the edge probability and difficulty settings in the atr files, so well played !!

However, iaq is right when he says you play with the strongest team, Australia. Even if all the teams have the same averages etc, I am convinced that codemasters have programmed it so that when playing with Australia you are less likely to get out to poor batting that you would batting with England !!

I haven't included a tinternatbat.cfg with this latest patch Paul so would you like me to send you one for the 5 days (I always use tinternatbat.cfg when batting so it won't be a problem)

dippyslara, files are on there way

regards

ya australia is too strong in blc.... n paul if u r bowling too well against cpu... why don't u try internatbat when cpu bats... i think this should be interesting... because edges are less.... anyway this is a suggestion....
but zim this is a good idea if u want cpu to fight .....
regards

Paul,

If you do wanna make batting far more competetive change the virtual bat size in the internat/tinternat file to lot lesser say around 17000. Currently the virtual setting might be around 32700+. Then change DiffAffectTraj to 0 and MaxTrajAdjust 0 under Ball Trajectory Adjust. This will prevent the pc from negating the swing/spin for you. Also change DiffAffectPos to 0 and MaxPosAdjust 0 to prevent your batsman from getting to the pitch of the ball from your normal stance on his own. You will be forced to play proper cricket shots as against huge heave or whatever. From then on there is every chance you might not even middle one or two an over. Batting then will be a good challenge, I am sure you will find it out right away after changing the settings mentioned above. Stroke timing can also be changed to play the shot a lot later which certainly will affect your current mode of play. Give the above a go and write to me how easy or difficult you find it to bat. If you still excel there are few more tweaks you might want to try.

thanx zimrahil...i got the cfg's..now i'll test it and give u the feedback accordingly..
thanx once again.....

Ravi, many thanks for your advice, I have implemented the values and am very pleased with them. It is now very challenging to score runs, I have only tried them for 10 overs but am very impressed with the level of challenge. These values when used with Zimrahils configs, atr. values and pitches will make for very tough cricket I think. To all, I can well recommend the values suggested by Ravi. Many thanks.

ohh thats cool info from ravi... paul add it to ur patch...

Zimrahil, just another word on the 5 day test configs, so far I have tried all days on a green and normal pitch, the settings are now superb I found playing a test much more realistic, for example, 3rd day on a normal pitch, very realistic bounce off the wicket for a pace bowler, very good bounce and movement on the 3rd day green pitch, and just enough turn for a leg spinner,I also noticed slight changes in the bounce of the ball off the bat, you may have altered these or I may have missed them before, however, since trying Ravi`s settings I have not hit the ball often!. when bowling I found wickets very difficult to come by in the first innings. Many thanks for these improvements
regards,paul

Iaq, I take it you have tried the suggestions from Ravi, I think when added to Zimrahils tinternat they are excellent, your chances of getting out are not increased in terms of edges, but you are now more likely to be lbw or bowled as the ball avoids the bat, my scoring rate is now very realistic, 16-2 off 9 overs, I have yet to bowl to cpu, but I was happy with the scoring rate of the cpu so I may leave it as Zimrahil set it, not use Ravi`s settings for cpu batting. I think we now have a very good set of configs, excellent work by these two, the only problem may be that the novelty of only laying bat on ball twice an over may wear off!

ya i used it n thats why i m saying plz add these tweaks... it is good to see that now we cannot play as good as before... i like it....because some people (like you paul)here playing blc are agrressive so this is a good change :)n its good to see paul u r now getting less wickets....
n zim i used ur 5 days files... what i saw that on 1 day pitch conditons are superb... less edges... good work...

hi
so can I take it that all those that have tested the 5 day test configs are generally happy with its performance, and don't really want to see any changes ?

If so I will send files to Ste to upload onto this site

many thanks

Zim,
I'm still playing my first Test with the files you sent me, and so far so good. Playing on a green pitch, I've noticed subtle changes from day to day - slightly more spin, less bounce etc.
I've nearly finished day 3, am looking forward to day 4, and hope the match lasts long enough so I can have a bat on day 5. Has anyone played on the other pitches?
Good work, zim.
