I posted this in the Duff Club thread, but I think it applies here also:
Duff apparently viewed problems regarding the way the staff operated and that’s absolutely fine. But, the first mistake he made was not posting his views in the Staff forum, which is specifically designed for discussion related to staff matters and problems. If you’re going to call the staff corrupt, shouldn’t you at least tell them that you have problems? Second, there was no reason to call the staff corrupt, as there is no system of benefit here and there was no need to generalize the behavior of the staff, which ironically, includes him.
Now, I’m sure you will agree that the first mistake alone justifies his demotion from the staff. Once you go commit an act in an under-handed manner, you lose trust and when you lose trust among your peers, you’re not going to work in a cohesive way.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that Duff is a bad member. He’s obviously been active and he can still continue to be. He can still continue to voice his concerns about PC like other members, which is why his thread remains open.
Just days before Duff’s thread, there was another thread created to discuss the forum’s lack of activity and the reasons for it, which tellingly, went off the subject within three pages.
