Admins are listening and are willing to take criticism on board and try and do something about it. But it is impossible to address every piece of criticism .

You know i acctualy agree with the Admins, and staff members. I think Duff, deserves to fear the consecues in his actions, and no member apart from myself and admins/staff agree

I agree to be honest that he didn't tell them first and told the members first, he deserved to be de-moted but it is a sad day.

Listen World Champions, you've just produced another generalisation of the kind that Duff produced himself. He implied we're all "corrupt" and so on. Now you're implying that we all just do whatever the Admins say. Can you not get it through your tiny mind that every single member of staff feels the same way as the Admins on this issue. We're all of differing age, cultural backgrounds, and experience, but on this issue we have all come to the same conclusion INDEPENDENTLY.

Colin will be the first to tell you that he and I disagree on a fair number of things. Nevertheless, that kind of dialogue is a healthy one and I don't think he's a narrow-minded autocrat whenever I don't get my way. And even if I did think that, I certainly wouldn't start a thread saying as much.

This is simply an issue of trust and respect: Duff treated us all disrespectfully and so he lost our collective trust. We simply can't continue to work with someone we don't trust and who does not respect us. End of story.

Well, since Duff has made it public, why is this worse than if he had done it in private?

Because when you become a staff member you agree that any issues you have will be raised first with the admins and not thrown straight to the members.
Had the thread been in the staff forum we'd have had no problem with it.

Duff cared more about what goes on in the forums than being a "special" member. You got rid of the best mod, BA I bet your used to things like this being a teacher you should have added a poll on peoples opinions, as for freedom of speech,thats never been alowed on this forum and everyone knows it. I'm not saying that in a bad way but freedom of speech isn't allowed,hence the rules

No its a simple as - skateboarder aired his views - I listened but the simple fact is no one on the admin or staff team agrees with them.

there is a percentage of people who had a view that all mods were being to harsh and Duff voiced that opinion. There was an occasion where a similiar thread was created then deleted because it involved this issue. It has finally brought itself to a head and exploded. Duff was the only mod who gave a voice to the non mod members and we thank him for that. What he did was wrong by one group of people but right by the other.

Well, freedom of speech is allowed to a certain extent. As for the poll, I don't really think it would change the staff member's minds on the issue like I doubt this thread will...
