Ok, this is rediculous.
If you guys feel so "angry" about duff's thread, why do you have to remove his Staff status?
Surely, if you want to give some form of punishment, at least make it temporary, like a week. This is just rediculous, because I can see 2 things happening :
A) Lots of people leave PlanetCricket
or
B) Nothing changes, and the moderators continue to dictate terms (as duff noted in his post)
We leave the future of PlanetCricket in your hands, administrators.
Really I think you have two options - Bring back Duff, or close the site permanently.

Anyway I've been reading through and some of you guys are just going to extremes that arn't needed. As Matt said Duff's gone and he's not coming back as much as we all like him thats the final word. Obviously the admins feel thats the right choice so thats how its going to be.
One other thought imagine if the admins stepped back, what do you think this site would be like? It would be a slug fest, this thread and the other one show that.

I personally feel this whole thing is stupid, and some of the points made here are ridicolous. Colin, Zim and Ste arent dictators (well most of the time 
), they do run this site for the members, otherwise there would be no site. I don't blame them for demoting Duff, as much as what he had to say was true, and as much as he wanted to get members views on this, he probably should have raised this issue with the staff first.
Good on Duff for sticking up for his views, I haven't had a chance to speak to him since all this blew off, so im not sure what his views are on this, but it was quite clear that he has abandoned the staff team
Yes, he was a fantastic mod, who not only had the popularity of the entire forum with his friendliness and humour (ok, maybe not) but no amount of whining or ultimatiums will convince the admin team to reinstate the trust they lost in him. Its quite simple, he made an agreement when he joined the staff team, he broke this agreement and as a result has been demoted.

Hold on here, this problem that duff talked about has been a problem for the past at least 6 months.
He was the only one man enough to acknowledge the problem, and none of the users were gonna say anything, because the only thing to happen was that user's thread being deleted and him possibly being banned.
And even right now, if Duff posted that same exact thread in the admins forum, and 2 days later, somebody made a thread about the "Corruption", I can with full 100% confidence say it would be deleted.
Sometimes, the wrong thing is the only way to get to whats right.

Well atleast one of the mods was actually thinking about us members unlike all the rest of the who IMO just think they are the kings of this place and we should do as they say or suffer....
I just read his thread and i totally agree with him about there being an equilibrium. Mods atm think they are far superior than us and want the members to do exactly what they want and wont give us any freedom of speach, Just like Mr.Nixon deleting all of my posts in 'What's your fastest delivery thread' because i was trying to answer back and off course he wouldnt want to see that so he just deleted the posts callin them spam when literally of you think about it, everyone was just spaming in the thread...

To repeat ad infinitum, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but again admin/staff are also entitled to theirs, which is not in accordance with your statement above regarding this particular matter
