Can Sreesanth Find Some Redemption

How can you support Sreesanth? He is a piece of $hit who thought making money was more important than the game that brought him to a position he was in. He deserves to be on a life ban and also in jail. If you can fight against the decision and get away with the punishment then others will also do the same and would care less if they get caught. He has been in the Indian national team for a long time and he shouldn't have done that.

What evidence do you have to be so sure on this? At least be patient till the necessary evidence come out before crucifying him. You could get only so much mileage from replays of a bowler bowling short pitched balls and being smashed for four, and red circles drawn around his towel tucked pants. WTF is this? Is this all what you need to shatter the personal and professional life of a common man? He *was* a bit over the top with his reactions on field - I agree. But don't accuse someone without proper evidence. And next time be careful in choosing your words. :rolleyes

He has already been found guilty and banned :facepalm

By the BCCI, whose president himself is embroiled in a controversy concerning his son-in-law and how he has been attempting to botch all investigation on his son-in-law's case to save his own face.

There is no fact and closed case thing on Sreesanth yet. He has the opportunity and should fight his case out in court.

He was found guilty and banned by the appropriate authority. His file is stamped "banned for life."

We are not asking you to repeat/re-iterate the steps that have been taken to classify Sreesanth as a match fixer and the punishment doled out to him. The discussion here is on whether the evidence used against Sreesanth is valid/true enough or not.

I am guessing you are just going to keep harping around the same tree.:(

I need make no apology for remaining consistent in my view that the body with the authority to hear the case has heard it and delivered an appropriate sentence.

By contrast your view has been comically inconsistent and without foundation, as pointed out by myself and others in this thread.

The body that you are talking about is itself deeply submerged in controversy. When did the BCCI (the body you are talking about) become known for delivering appropriate sentences?

My view has been consistent right from the beginning. Sreesanth needs to fight his case out in court, and even if he was guilty, this does not amount to banning him for life. And the no of people liking my posts, indicates that there are others agreeing with me.

The BCCI are the appropriate body regardless of what you think of them :yes

:facepalm I'm glad to see you at least have a sense of humour :lol

Someone gets wrongly acquited of a crime in court, and you will say its right because they have been acquited by the appropriate body? If you agree to this, you need to get out of your nappies.

Cracked heads find my straight talk as humor!:rolleyes

Good that you don't have anything else worthy to add.

@Topic: I think not only Sreesanth, but all those cricketers need to fight out their cases in court. If they are truly guilty, they should atleast fight for their future career. A life ban is just the most harshest punishment. Why should these guys' careers be put in fire just because you want to teach the world and the future generation? You give the deserved punishment for a particular crime, and here they just don't match.

Good that you don't have anything else worthy to add...

Little need for me to add to your ramblings. You dug the hole all by yourself >

...A private organization has no right to debar a player from playing for his country...

Sreesanth should fight his life ban, and should also fight to get back into the national team again. Even if he is guilty of spot fixing.

:facepalm

...If he did it when playing for India, probably it would have been a stronger case for a life ban. But he has done it in domestic level...

This "it will act as a deterrent for others" argument is rubbish...

:facepalm

Sreesanth has never portrayed himself as a very mature and level headed person. That makes it all the more crucial that he is given a less severe punishment than a life ban...

...You are essentially making it easy for them by banning them for life...

:facepalm

...To punish him for a spot fixing incident in a domestic franchise cricket with a punishment that does not allow me to play the game at an official level for life, is just ridiculous. Even if he has done it multiple times, I would understand the argument...

:facepalm

As I said previously, your misguided ramblings are those of a troubled and confused young man.

Thanks for going through the pain of digging up my posts to basically prove that I have said the same thing all along - i.e. Sreesanth should fight to get to the bottom of this, and even if guilty, his punishment of a life ban is harsh. I have been saying this all along. Certain people try to win an argument by saying stray things like "your views are inconsistent" blah blah blah.

If it is too hard for you to accept opinions/views, I suggest you take a break from forums until you find it easier to accept opinions/views.

Sreenanth is a cheat who has been caught and suspended for life and it's time ignorant people like yourself accepted it and stopped aimlessly rambling about it >

You do the crime. You do the time. There is no room in cricket for this kind of behaviour and never will be.

Yeah he is a cheat, lets hang him right away! :rolleyes That too, just for IPL as it is greatest business in cricket to be considered too serious. How can he cheat in such a big money making business. Its a shame for team India! :rolleyes
