T&T Lions Team News: Junaid Khan joins T&T after he was let go by St Vincent and Grendines. It seems he had a point to prove as just after he was given the axe he bowled a record breaking spell for Lancashire against Warwickshire claiming 4 wickets for only 12 runs helping his side claim a thrilling 15 run victory in the T20 Blast.

The spell was enough for T&T manager to snap Junaid up, who become the 4th Fast bowler to join the Lions. T&T Manager Rizzyx said he was delighted with the sign up and is excited and the prospect of going with 4 fast bowlers in the playing XI. Misbah ul Haq will join the coaching staff and give assistance to the batsman. Misbah said he was happy with the move and the coaching position will allow him to make the transition from playing as a Cricketer to other professional roles in the game.

Halal food controversy rips apart Guyanese T20 squad

New filtering in over the weekend is that a player who is a member of the Guyana Thunder Cats cricket team has abruptly quit the tournament. The player in question also plays for the Pakistan national team.

Younis Khan, former captain of the Pakistan national team, was allegedly involved in a bust up in the late hours of Sunday night. The incident occurred in the team hotel. Insiders report that Khan argued with team officials at the table over their non-compliance on the subject of Halal meat. Khan had reportedly specifically asked the kitchen staff to respect his traditions and prepare Halal meat. These wishes were not granted. Khan raged into the kitchen and demanded answers from the kitchen staff, but was rudely brushed off.

Things escalated into an all-out brawl. Young star Rayston "Heisenberg" Crandon attempted to diffuse the situation by offering Khan produce from his own previous "cook". Khan refused it. "Ganja" Gayle didn't.

Witnesses noticed some chicken wings flying across the table.

Khan reportedly left the team hotel and took the evening flight back to Lahore.

Halal foods are foods that Muslims are allowed to eat or drink under Islamic Shari?ah.

Guyana Thunder Cats is one of 12 teams participating in the inaugural Caribbean Cup Cricket Tournament to be held in the West Indian islands later this summer.

Guyana Thunder Cats gain a thunderous catch.


Official reports have come in since Younis Khan's departure from the Caribbean Cup cricket tournament.

Guyana Thunder Cats manager, arjwiz, sent an email to the press acknowledging the return to the islands of none other than the majestic Kevin Pietersen.

"We are very proud to have found someone of Pietersen's calibre at such short notice. We expect some big hitting from him", said arjwiz.

Former England batsman, Pietersen, hinted at batting up the order with his good friend, Chris Gayle. "Ganja and I have never played together but we are both Kings of Good Times, and we hope to set this tournament alight", said Pietersen.

Pietersen has represented England in 104 test matches, scoring 8181 runs, making him one of the most celebrated batsmen in English cricketing history.

Pietersen Inspired Selection as Guyana Thunder Cats Triumph

Guyana Thunder Cats have won the warm up competition of the inaugural Caribbean Cup. Fans have been signing the praise of manager arjwiz, after his last minute addition of Kevin Pietersen to the squad. Pietersen, 33, top scored in the final against Anguilla Stingrays with a destructive 100*(51).

It remains to be seen if Guyana can continue this form into the tournament. Early betting markets have moved Guyana Thunder Cats from mid-table obscurity at 20/1 to outside contenders at 7/1.

Antigua and Barbuda Team News:

Since Markkkkk forgot that Kevin Pietersen is good in fantasy cricket West Indian soil he had to recruit a new batsmen. So being the manager he is, Markkkkk was found racing in his car faster then any of his quick bowlers (100+ Kph) and ran into the airport. He dashed over customs and dived under security guards, eventually he made it to Alex Hales' plane as it was starting to leave. Markkkkk then proceeded to spread a long banner around the airport saying 'I need you Alex'. The plane suddenly stopped and it is believed Hales gave his ticket to James Vince who has packed his bags and decided to leave. The A&B fans cheered as Hales was welcomed to his 1/2* hotel and treated to some luxurious cracked windows and broken air cons!
