Champions League Thread (the dawn of time - 2014)

Chelsea were utter shite.

I'm talking in terms of ball possession throughout the whole match. Chelsea bossed it. Especially in the first 15 minutes which is where I think they did exceptionally well in keeping Liverpool quiet, which is what you have to do in these games at Anfield. Obviously you won't admit it just yet because your all understandably gutted, but Chelsea deserved what they got and in truth, they deserved a little bit more as well

Thats not all true.

They did dominant in the first 15 minutes but at halftime we had 60% of possesion.

Like it or not, the 1-1 is a fair result. You can't honestly say that Liverpool 100% deserved to win that.

The football was drivel really though, it was like the previous games all over again, Chelsea were gutless, they could have taken the Scousers much earlier on than that. Mind you, I'll take what happened, I'm quite liking late goals at the moment:p. You gotta laugh that it was right in the middle of their "rousing" rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone.:p

Johnnnnnnnn Arrrrrne Riiiise
I wanna know oooooooo
How you scored that goal!:p

That was a very pleasureable finish :)
I thought Liverpool had the better chances, especially in the first half, but 1-1 was still a fair reflection overall. Hopefully the equaliser will be a devastating psycological blow from which they won't recover :upray

They'd have to hold off the '6 times' coach for another season.

Aye, the picture of it from last season still makes me laugh:p. Hopefully, it'll stay in a Liverpool depot for a long, long time. Me thinks Liverpool forgot to put 50p in the luck meter:p.

One question though, did the Kop suck that ball into the net?

He scored one against luton in Jan. And way back in 02' at st marys he ran the length of the pitch to head past dudek lol.

But, any team to come back from that? You would choose Liverpool surely.

It goes without saying that Liverpool will win at Stamford Bridge and then beat United in the final. I mean come on, it's 08. Capital of Culture. Capital of Football. The redshite are just destined to be champions this year. I'll bet me mam on it.

The goal being scored was funny enough, but the fact it did indeed happen smack in the middle of the Liverpool fans' victory song provided me with a lot of laffs tonight!

Come on, Utd! We can take Barcelona. 0-0 or 1-1 at the Nou Camp and 2-1 at Old Trafford I reckon. I would love nothing better than beating Liverpool in the Final! That would shut them up about Europe for a while!
