Champions League Thread (the dawn of time - 2014)

I love it when the Ginger Prince blasts it as I know it's goin in

That's why Scholes should shoot more!

And Ronnie didn't play that well against us. He's not terrible but he's nowhere near his best in big games.

I did go Phil :D I was about to come on here and say how amazing we are when my dad pulled up and said happy late birthday! Was amazing, i was in the upper tier of the stretty and it was an amazing atmosphere although I didn't have a scarf to swing round to Viva Ronaldo :( Was absolutely knackered at school today because we were in the pub for hours.
Wow, would have been even more incredible in the upper tier of the Stretty! You missed out with the scarf, just swinging it around to Viva Ronaldo at holding it up for "We'll never die" was brilliant:D. Yeah, my voice wasn't exactly great this morning:p. My dad sat next to me had a red sheet, and I had the white sheet, so I was right where the "6" started in the "68".

I don't agree with you Will about Ronnie in the big games. He's scored against Arsenal twice, Liverpool once, Lyon at home, Roma away, and he's scored 7 in total in the Champions League this season.

Agree about Gill, Joe. He doesn't deserve to be anywhere near United. Was watching 02/03 review before, with Peter Kenyon on it. How unlucky have we been having those two!

I won't be able to go to Moscow:(. However, I've made it my aim, that I'll go to see United in a Champions League final when I'm older. Hopefully it wont be another 9 years though!

Yeah, Scholes has seemed a little hesitant before shooting this season, but when he hits them, they've always got a pretty good chance of flying in. Last nights was one of his best and he'll finally get to play in a Champions League final, shame its come too late for Keano.

Letter came yesterday and cos I'll be 16 when next season starts, we've got to move from the Family Stand, and they gave us about 7 options, of which none of them involved the stretty:(.

We shall not, we shall not be moved, we shall not, we shall not be moved, like a team thats gonna win the European Cup, we shall not be moved!:D

I'm sorry but if I was giving marks out of 10 over the 2 games Ronaldo wouldn't have gotten a 5 for both games. In the 2nd game he stopped playing 30 minutes before the game ended. Only ones that deserve full praise are Teves, Ferdinand and Park, van der sar was really good too. Teves ran until the last minute and kept constant pressure on the defenders. I was also surprised by Brown, he is usually shaky but yesterday he played really well.
Ronaldo is a good player but he acts like a primadona a little too much, the 1st touch on the ball he fell down to a weak challenge and started complaining to the ref, he would be a perfect fir in the Seria A.

Ok Guys just came from one of the Broker and the cost for the Tickets of final match is 1500 Euro.
Damn Anyhow I am going to watch it.
1500 is worth to see Man U Vs Chelsea final.:p

lol..Last two months in Moscow for me so I wanted to see that match.
Though there is a tickets of 299-800 Euro also but I can't see Match by sitting next to Russian because that will risk my life..lol.

How you can say that is beyond me, he worked his arse off in both games playing effectively as a striker and if you don't give a striker any service he won't score. as for stopping for half an hour well thats just blatantly not true, he was still making runs forward and leading our counter attacks.

Vaiby do you live in Moscow? If I go I'm staying in your place because i cba paying for a hotel, although if you are a crazy Russian wannabe doctor like KP said then don't experiment on me :p

Phil I don't think your sit down protest outside the TO singing that will do anything, I probably won't go jus because of the price of tickets so like you will have to wait till i'm older but I'm going to try to go this time even if have an exam the day before.

What a finish by Drogba, like the way he went over to the Liverpool bench to celebrate but Gerard got revenge by flooring Avram Grant :D

An ABTA employee suggested going to Moscow for a day trip. The flight is just 4 hours long, take it in the morning, explore Moscow during the day, watch the match in the evening and get the flight home that night.

That would depend upon how lenient they were on letting you on the plane drunk though wouldn't it :p

I doubt sight seeing would be in the minds of too many united fans:p, especially if the scousers get there. It suprised me about the flight, but even so and even though I haven't got an exam on the Wednesday or Thursday, its right in the middle of my exams, it would cost a bomb, and I haven't applied for tickets.

Nice finish by Drogba before:D.

I don't mind actually it won't make me any difference.
Hotels are damn costly here.Have you booked any of them?

I'll PM you my adress if you want to stay at my Place.

Hell no.
I have enough Experimental animals here..:p

I doubt I will be going lol and if I do I probably would convince my stepdad to get a hotel even if it was expensive, the best option would be too spend a week driving there but can't see that happening.

Anyway 1-1 Torres, not really enjoyed the match but there's so much on it it's not going to be attacking football and the conditions don't exactly help.

lol yea he was making runs forward only when the ball was passed to him he didn't put any effort into trying to win the ball himself. Tevez was the one that was working hard for the ball and made the runs and still got very little award for it.

Maybe i worded it wrong, he was standing around until the ball was kicked into his legs than he started moving and as soon as he lost it he walked.

Well done to Chelsea, hope you go on to beat Man Utd in Moscow.
