Champions League Thread (the dawn of time - 2014)

He will face better opponents who play hard to win not like Manchester United

I didn't watch it but I can tell you, your acting like an idiot.

Congratulations Manchester United. Got the double and I must say it was deserved.

Although the team i was supporting lost, it was one hell of a game.

man, I've seen better games Tbh, fairly decent game, was slow in the beginning, then became a little interesting.

Anyways Man U were better team throughout the year but the second half when the scores were 1-1, Chelsea had way more chances then Man U. Drogba got red for a little slap (had his mad moment, not the first time).

To tell a few people out here, I don't know about WORLD CHAMPIONS, I've been following footy for long time, though I don't claim like some people (like Madman who acts like he is the football guy, you know.) to know everything about the game. "AU' SNAP!"

WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

What an amazing night that was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Champions Of Europe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you watching Merseyside!!!!!!!!!!!!?

And we are the best team in Europe unlike some recent European Cup winners. We've got old big ears back after 9 years:D:D:D:D.

Where do I start!!!!!?

Firstly, I thought 1-1 was a fair result after the 120 minutes, we controlled the first half and had 3 chances after we scored. They controlled the second half, but extra time was quite equal.

Who said Ronaldo doesn't perform in big games!? The lad has scored in a European Cup final, he was brilliant in the first half, amazing player!

Vidic, Evra, Rio, Brown, absolutely outstanding, all night, controlled Drogba (onto him in a moment). Just superb.

Now, Chelsea moaning about every single decision, Joe Cole and Drogba being the two biggest culprits, don't actually know how I can describe Drogba without swearing. He deserved to get sent off, he slapped Vidic, Vidic didn't overreact, imagine what would of happened if it had been the other way around!

Now the pens, I actually couldn't watch our first three, I went in the other room, and then listened to what the commentator said. After Ronnie missed, I decided to watch anyway. Unbelieveable, I bet all the Anyone But United's were gloating after Ronaldo missed, haha who had the last laugh.

LOL! at John Terry, despicable man, spat at Ronaldo, couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Brilliant looking at him crying after the match.

You heard about John Terry's new vodka...

...bottled in Moscow:p.

Then Anelka who has played for every club we don't like, Liverpool, City, Chelski, Arsenal, Bolton, actually the only one he's missing is Leeds. Le sulker:p.

Just went absolutely mental when Van Der Sar saved, WE ARE CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE ONCE AGAIN!

Btw, I thought the spirit of the two clubs was shown by the medal presentation, Sir Bobby Charlton, the nicest man you'll ever meet went up to get the plaque for United, he didn't put his medal on as he didn't think it was right. Who went up for Chelski? Peter bloody Kenyon! It was magnificent seeing him after the match, wonder where he wishes he was. Now, wheres this powershift from North to South that Kenyon and actually Wenger have promised!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'When's the last time you won the CL. Hahahahahah!'
Na, when have you ever won the CL:D:D:D

Championies Championies Ole Ole Ole!!!!!!!

WTF? Ronaldo was average in the the first half and hardly even seen in the 2nd half and im sure a lot of people would agree with me.

No he wasn't. He ran the game in the first half. Essien had no clue about how to defend against him. I didn't see Essien get passed the half way line in the first half, he was just scared that Ronaldo would make him look even worse. He was poor in the 2nd half, but his first half performance was awesome.

See thats Ronaldo's flaw its he cant really play well when the team needs him and when the others arent doing that well.

Ronaldo was instrumental in the first half, but in the second he did more harm than good. Totally stopped passing the ball. You could have wrapped it up had he not spent the whole second half trying to take on the world. Then of course he got cocky and bottled the peno.

Brilliant :D :D :D :D Champions of Europe :D

We didn't even play that well too, we've been out of form for a while :D

van Der Sar what a legend
Ronaldo what a legend

:D :D :D

we deserved that tbh, Chelsea are a plastic club and we'd been the best side in Europe it's fair to say. Certainy the most consistent, in all comps. Fair play to Chelsea, they played well, and I think we need another centre mid to compete next year.

This side isn't as good as the 1 in 99 though, we don't have another dimension to our attacks really, we need someone like Manucho or a striker who will put every chance away, it's only because of Ronaldo that we've gotten away with it :D

Don't agree with penos but oh well we're the champions of Europe :D

Must have prayed 100 times last night, I leant out the window and sort of pushed my prayer up to god to get it there faster and it worked :D

Champions of England and champions of Europe, and we might not have played well last night but we deserved it. Far too much excitement though, only got 4 hours sleep :D Told my mate when Chelsea hit the bar and post our name was on this trophy, and when Terry slipped you knew it, Anelkas walk told you he was going to bottle it too.

Vidic would have eaten Drogba too.

lol..
No But at the time of Penalty Team has needed him most. :p

Just joking so as a Neutral Fan I am happy with result as Chelsea have got their luck throughout the season even in EPL so it just in one Match Luck thing has worked for Man U.
Only disappointing thing is that Chelsea has been runners up in 4 tournaments this year. They should have won at least one.
:p

Anyway Bravo Man U..

He was brilliant in the first half, had the beating of Essien at ease, yeah he didn't do that great in the second half but he scored in a Champions League final!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He has scored 42 massive goals this season, Roma away, I think we needed him then and the equaliser against Arsenal, nah the team didn't really need that did we? Or we didn't really need the opening goal in a Champions League final did we?

Dear me, bitter fans are bad enough, but plastic bitter fans top the lot off.

Na, we don't need another Centre Mid, we've got Scholes, Hargreaves, Anderson, Carrick, Fletcher and Park can play there too, so we're ok in that department. Agree about the striker situation though, we need another.

Anyway...:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

We should have played Hargreaves at centre mid, even though that would have meant dropping one of Scholes or Carrick he should have done it, neither of them are physical enough to cope with Chelseas midfield so we needed someone like Anderson and Carrick imo, that would have won us the game instead of leaving it till penalties.
