Champions League Thread (the dawn of time - 2014)

We should have played Hargreaves at centre mid, even though that would have meant dropping one of Scholes or Carrick he should have done it, neither of them are physical enough to cope with Chelseas midfield so we needed someone like Anderson and Carrick imo, that would have won us the game instead of leaving it till penalties.
The first half showed why 4-4-2 is the United way though, attacked them and it worked. Suprised Anderson hasn't played much recently.

How about him and Nani going for their penalties, if Nani had missed it would have been theirs! Balls of steel the pair of them.

John Terry was a United fan when he was younger, top red, tears of joy I tell thee, tears of joy:p.

Yeh I agree with 4-4-2, just not with Carrick and Scholes against Chelsea, should have been Scholes and OH imo, actually I'd rather have had Carrick and OH but there was no way Scholes wasn't playing.

I hate John Terry! I was f-ing loving it when he was crying! Chelsea played like utter dicks! they ruined the whole game, whenever Utd started gaining momentum they stopped the game because their players had an "injury". Hargreaves didn't play too well in my opinion, he had some great chances but made poor crosses and the chances were wasted. what the hell was Drogba complaining about anyway. Rooney didn't play like his normal self, he didn't run after the ball much like his usual self and seemed a bit lazy maybe? HAHA IN YOUR FACE JOHN TERRY!

Funniest thing I've seen in a long time bruv yeah:

The referee was a dull, that was not a slap. If i would have been Drogba i would have smash that ******** face rather than light hitting.

I have sympathy for any player who puts so much effort into winning a match only to effectively lose the game himself with a penalty. He's better captain material than Rio.

But nevertheless, the England captaincy should still go to Gareth Barry. One positive of his move to Liverpool is that he'll get the chance to captain England. He's the best candidate by far.

You fanny. You can't raise your hands to another player in the modern game, regardless of how much of a girl you look by doing it. It was a sending off and your a complete dweeb for thinking otherwise.

And spits at fellow professional, what a guy.

WC, presuming that you watched the match, what did Vidic do wrong?

WC if Drogba had punched Vidic the only way he would of got out of the stadium would be in a bodybag. He eats babys for breakfast, so I'd watch out if i was you.

Alright if your gonna play the Terry spat at someone card I can easily play the Ferdinand misses drugs tests and kicks footballs at old ladies cards. Neither of them should be England captain. Barry all the way man.

Hang about, i've just watched that vid and he didn't even spit on him. It was one them involuntary saliva ejection moments. And no i'm not being a smart arse, that looks completely accidental to me. We've all done that thing were we try to say something too fast when were angrily and a load of spit comes out.

Scholes has been good recently, and there's no way he could be left out after 99 and the goal in the semi.

More on what I said about Terry spitting on Tevez:

How anyone can feel sorry for him is beyond me, despicable. England captain, you are having a laugh.

I had no idea that he spat on Tevez, I couldn't care less about how he felt now! Spitting at a fellow professional is an absolute disgrace. Still, Chelsea have to resort to that, because they can't defeat us on the pitch when it really matters!

New song for next season:

He won it two times, he won it twooooo times!
He's done it at last,
Fergie won it two times!

He will face better opponents who play hard to win not like Manchester United

Man Utd don't play hard to win? Ask the rest of the Premier League, not to mention teams like Roma, Lyon and Barcelona. Just because we don't get millions of red cards doesn't mean we don't know how to play hard to win.

We won! WE WON! Who cares if it was on penalties, it's all part of the game, ask England! Deal with it, we won the damn game!

The thing with the woman was accidental. Yeah ok the drugs test, but Rio's changed enormously since then, since he signed his contract about 3 years ago he's been absolutely outstanding. He didn't have a good reputation with United fans, but he's won everyone around. Of course the London based press don't notice this, but he's been superb. He bloody cares too, and he doesn't resort to spitting at opposing players.

Gareth Barry will get those extra 10 points for Liverpool btw, the final piece in the jigsaw, they have turned the corner.

Please, I didn't think of you as being naive. It was the classic schoolboy trick that Terry tried, of covering up what he was doing. Be ABU if you want, but at least look at some of it fairly.

I saw that on Sky Sports News. He tried acting the passionate fan but came offf as an utter mug. Yeah?
