Chelsea have made a brilliant start to the new season under Scolari and they hoped they continued their brilliant form as they go to face Sheffield United at the Bramell Lane

Chelsea had made some changes in their team . Bosingwa came in to replace Essien at the right back position . Michael Ballack to came in for Deco . Shevchenko was left out of the traveling squad as he was desperate to leave the club .

Chelsea started the game with a high tempo . 5 minutes after the kick off Nicolas Anleka got a great cross from Joe Cole but Anelka's shot way wide of the left post .

Kenny took the gaol kick high towards Beattie who controlled it down towards Tonge who took a hot from 35 yards but it didnt trouble Cech as it went way wide the the cross bar .

It was half time and the score was 0-0 . Not many chances for both the teams . Scolari made his substitutions . Essien came on for Lampard and Pizarro came on for Joe Cole .

Thrown in for Chelsea . Ashley Cole takes it and throws it towards Ballack . Poor tackle by Leigertwood on Ballack which results in a Chelsea freekick from the edge of the box . Ballack takes it and hammers it in the top right corner . Chelsea lead one nil .

Cech kicks it high towards Aneka who controls well on the chest , turns and take the shot but brilliantly saved by Paddy Kenny to give Chelsea a corner .

Ballack takes a in swinging corner . Terry heads the ball but punched away by Kenny towards Deco . Deco takes the shoot from 20 yards and scores . Two nil to Chelsea . Brilliant goal from the Portuguese international Deco

Robinho get a lovely pass by substitute Essien and he get pass Unsworth and in the box . Sommeli tackles him and Robinho is down . Referee points towards the spot and penalty for Chelsea . Looks like Deco gonna take it . Deco hits in the bottom right corner and Keeny goes the wrong wave . Chelsea have sealed this game .

Peter Walton flows the final whistle . Another easy win for Chelsea and their unbeaten record this season has extended to seven . Scolari looks please has he goes to the locker room .

Arsene Wenger's gamble to rest his players for the next key match didn't pay off as the inform Aston Villa scored 6 times against young and inexperience Gunners .Within 3 minutes Martin Laursen scored and soon later John Carew headed one in . But Eduardo scored 8 minutes later and then went on to equalized at the half hour stroke . 3 minutes after Eduardo equalizer Marlon Harewood scored once but twice to give Aston Villa a commanding 4-2 lead at half time . After Half time John Carew completed his hattrick with two brilliant headers from Ashley Young corner to give Villa their best ever victory .

King Kev's men completely destroyed Gareth Southgate's boys . Obafemi Martin scored 4 times in the first half before former Boro striker Mark Viduka scored twice to take all three points from the game . This defeat could be the last game in charge of Boro manager Gareth Southgate .

Man City halted Rovers winning run . Roque Santa Cruz who is rumored to join Chelsea scored the first goal within 10 minutes . But new signing Martin Petrov equalised . But Reid scored and regained the lead for Rovers . But just before half time Dimi Hamann headed the equalizer and the two teams went on to share a point each .

Finally Tottenham got their first win of the new season . Chelsea linked striker Dimitar Berbatov scored from the penalty spot to the give Spurs the lead . But veteran Gary Speed equalized . But it was Berbatov who headed in Modric's corner to seal the win in stoppage time .

Madrid bid for Sheva

(Shevchenko on the brink to sign for Real Madrid)

Real Madrid tonight closed in on Andriy Shevchenko - with a mega bid for the Chelsea striker.The Ukraine International, 29, is desperate to leave Phil Scolari's Blues .And Real Mdrid confirmed this evening they have put in an offer - thought to be around £20million.

Andriy Shevchenko has revealed that the Real Madrid are just one of the major European clubs chasing him.But Real Madrid's decision to go public strengthens their position as favourites to recruit him.

Real Madrid President Roman Calderon has claimed Real Madrid will wait til the start of the transfer window on January 1 before pouncing.And Calderon has also admitted that Shevchenko's arrival would end striker worries as Ruud van Nistelrooy and Raul both sustained injuries during training and will miss a lot of football.

But Chelsea have already turned down an £15m bid from Real Madrid.And Real Madrid might have to up their latest offer to £22m to tie up a deal.

Match Report : Chelsea 4 Real Madrid 1

(John Terry celebrates his first goal of the season)

Luis Felipe Scolari enjoyed yet another brilliant performance from his side as they completely destroyed the Spanish Giants Real Madrid 4-1

Scoalri made many changes to his side that defeated Sheffield United . Kaka , Joe Cole and Bosingwa were rested and Essien , Pizarro and Belletti started . Shevchenko was in the stands .

The Spanish took the lead on 23 minutes when Julio Baptista finished clinically past Petrc Cech following a superb pass from Wesley Sneijder from the outside of his right foot and over John Terry .

It remained one nil for the Spanish Giants at half time . This is where Scolari does his magic . He brought on Kaka for Pizarro and Bsingwa for Belletti .

Soon after the restart Nicolas Anelka then headed home from a brilliant cross from former Real madrid player Robinho . The Chelsea fans celebrated as they had equalized .

6 minutes later it was the skipper who gave the Blues the lead . John Terry headed home from a brilliant Frank Lampard corner . Terry scored his first goal of the season and gave Chelsea two goals to one lead .

But 3 minutes later again it was the Robinho - Anelka combination which worked well and destroyed Real Madrid completely . Great pass by Bosingwa towards Robinho who sprinted pass Heinze in the box and gave a pass to Anleka wo took the shot from the edge of the box and in the net pass Casillas to make it three one to Chelsea .

It was former Real Madrid target Kaka' who put the icing on the cake with a brilliant strike from 20 yards which flew in the top right corner . Casillas had no chance what so ever of stoping the goal .

Chelsea completely dominated the Spanish Giants and with this win they have qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League . Scolari waved to the home fans and the gfans were delighted with this win .

Sheva to join Madrid

Ukraine skipper Andriy Shevchenko will join Real Madrid on January 1, the Spanish Giants said on Friday.

The club said in a statement on its Web site www.realmadrid.com that it had agreed terms with Chelsea for the transfer and that the player had also agreed terms and passed a medical.

"Andriy will formally sign his contract with Real Madrid when Chelsea travels to Madrid to play Real in the Champions League match later in October and will join on January 1," the statement said.

The club gave no details of the transfer fee but media reports had said Chelsea would get 20 million pounds for the Ukraine captain Shevchenko.

Chelsea president Roman Abramovich said on Friday that the fee was "in that range".

Shevchenko, 29, had been pleading with Chelsea executives all season to let him go to Madrid during a disappointing year for him as he just scored 11 times in the whole season.

The London Club had previously rejected Madrid's efforts to acquire Shevchenko last week and during the summer transfer window, saying they were not a bank and needed him.

Shevcheno played 37 matches for Chelsea and scored just 11 times . He had a brilliant career at Milan and moved to Chelsea last year for 30 million pounds . But having failed to impress in the English premier League Scolari said that Shevchenko was not in his future plans any more and left him on the bench for three consecutive matches .

Shevchenko knew that his Chelsea career was finish and decided to leave Chelsea and expressed his dream to move back to Milan . But AC Milan having already signed Ronaldinho from Barcelona showed no interest in him and it was Real madrid who were ready to buy the striker .
