Yeah, but the thing is with just 25 overs, the match is almost always determined by the first four or five batsmen, but it's more important to have as many as specialist bowlers as possible to limit the run rate. When I dropped myself and included sid, we won 5 matches in a row and at that point, I was convinced that this was as good a team as we're ever going to come up with. Most of these line ups are just bets. Some times a bowler goes for 12 rpo and then the next match he might take 2-20 something off 5 overs, or vice versa. All we can do is try to play the averages and hope for the best.

Well, I played 10 games with your XI vs Dublin on a normal pitch.

We won 5 of them. The losses were usually baaaaaaaad.

They were caused by us losing two wickets early on, as in the first five or so overs. We'd eventually reach about 150 (in one game we only managed 111 or something) for the loss of about five wickets.

The bowling aspect has been okay. Runs haven't really changed, but wickets do fall more. It about four - odd wickets per game, which is good. But, do you think that'll really make a difference in the end?

If you guys are willing to go with XI and bank on our batsman to get us to around 180/190, then we'll go with this. If you guys are unhappy with the win/loss ratio and maybe think we need another batsman in there, then we can change some thing.

Well, except for that one huge loss, the other losses were pretty close. A 50-50 or 60-40 ratio is what you're likely to get with any line up after 10 games. There isn't one 'magic' line-up that will net us a certain victory. It's all about playing averages.

I would be much happier with something like a 7/10, though.

When we have three of the best international's out there we should be able to win most of our matches. It's just finding the right mixture of members to support them, I guess.

Five matches of trying to find the right mixture has left us with a record of 3-2. What other mixture can we find that will give us a 70/30 ratio of winning? I've spent hours trying out various orders and after 56 matches, the record between the two clubs stands exactly 28-28. That tells me that this match up is as even as even gets. It's going to be hard to find a sure-fire line up, but if we can find one, it would be good news.

Definitely not, man. I was trying a number of orders for this game and the one that I ended up with couldn't include me or you. But, we'll definitely try to bring you back in. There are a number of batsmen that you could come in for, so don't worry.

Well, that match turned out exactly the way I expected it to. The bowling attack came through just as it did in the games that were simmed. I'm glad the coin turned in our favour.
