9.1 6 Whittingham to Sagren
That's huge ...... the fielders are going to need a taxi to get that ball back.

purr :(

9.5 W Whittingham to Sagren
My word! Duminda has taken a magnificent diving catch, his arms appeared to stretch out of their sockets and extend an unfeasible distance to pluck that ball out of the air!

:D hes taken wickets for the boundaries he has conceeded, 2-0 to whitty

End of Over 10: 33-2, runrate=3.30, reqrunrate=7.15 (318-3)

10.1 . Cash to Fadeer
It?s taken the edge but it hasn?t carried to the slip cordon.

nice start by cash...

Congrats Suren, you were unbeaten last season in your previous league right?

Rampaul getting MOTM for his 50! :)

And congrads handy for the win.... And voldy, you are going comfortably!

My game's off, I'm bowling, and the start is vital - my opponant has 2 amazing openers (one Quality, one at least Exceptional judging from wages) and very little after that - I need an early wicket.

18.4 W Cash to Fadeer
In the air, and caught. Murray could have caught that with his back to the play. Fadeer is clearly frustrated with himself.

Cash too out Fadeer at 26...

Murphy on the other end was not sucessful...

And then in came Ryno and Whittingham :D

Whittingham took out both Pradeeps, a 11k waged pure batter and a 7k waged keeper [ who went for a first ball duck ] now things were easy...

94/5 with the tail exposed...

3 quiet overs with only 2 runs conceeded, nd then Whittingham struck in the 25.1, 25.4 and 25.6th ball :D 7/20 off 8

97/8...

Ryno struck in the next two balls to end the innings... 2/5 off 3 :D

97/10

Game, Set and Match...

26.2 W Ryno to Grewcock
Outside edge, Overton waiting for it at backward point and an easy catch as Grewcock makes his way back to the changing room.
26.1 W Ryno to Girubaharan
Girubaharan prods at a delivery that he really should have just left. A thick edge comfortably taken by Ilanganage at first slip.

End of Over 26: 97-8, runrate=3.73, reqrunrate=9.25 (318-3)
Whittingham 8-0-20-7
Girubaharan* 1 (2 balls)
Hagarangoda 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Faaiz b. Whittingham 0 (FOW: 97/8)

25.6 W Whittingham to Faaiz
Yorker and bowled. Superlative stuff from Whittingham.
25.5 . Whittingham to Faaiz
The non-striker sends him back after a mix up, they need to work on communication.
25.4 W Whittingham to Rideegammanagedera
Good length ball from Whittingham grips off the seam and the batsman's defenses are found wanting as a faint edge is found. A simple catch for the keeper.
25.3 1 Whittingham to Girubaharan
Whittingham drops short outside off and the ball is hacked away down to third man for a single.
25.2 . Whittingham to Girubaharan
Beautiful movement off the seam, nothing the batsman can do.
25.1 W Whittingham to Karunasena
Out! An absolute gem of a catch. Naidoo has taken that one-handed catch inches from the ground, diving to his right-hand side in the deep point position. Karunasena is stunned.

last two overs...

We won by 221 :D

At Surendar, easy win for you.

End of Over 5: 27-0, runrate=5.40
Alder 3-0-12-0
Bradbury* 17 (11 balls)
Ravenhill 10 (19 balls)

No early breakthrough - wasn't expecting one, but would have been nice.

End of Over 20: 141-0, runrate=7.05
Dodd 5-0-42-0
Bradbury* 62 (46 balls)
Ravenhill 77 (74 balls)

I'm in real trouble here. A quick wicket and I might be chasing sub-300.

End of Over 34: 199-0, runrate=5.85
Dodd 7-0-47-0
Bradbury* 77 (68 balls)
Ravenhill 116 (137 balls)

Dodd and Stone putting the brakes on, nice to see.

Welcome to The Lion Stands for the match between TT Lions and AFI.

We can tell you that AFI won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this partially cloud day.
AFI are number 8. I am GFIing. Their ratings are Strong+ batting in both top and lower order, and Strong bowling in both. And believe it or not, they are one of the worst three teams in the league (Bar the bot) and are probably the only team I can best. Even that is unlikely...I need a win here at all costs, I don't want to demote back into III...

Not a good start so far. 16/0 after 2...

End of Over 5: 22-0, runrate=4.40
Folkes 3-0-13-0
Clarke* 5 (13 balls)
Jones 14 (17 balls)
Decent start. I have no idea how my new batting lineup will chase...
TT Lions have selected Cutler, Bennett, Barr, Rudi, Giddings, Crouch, Folds, Packer, Eli, Tuckett, Folkes.
No Falken today due to ftiness issues.

End of Over 10: 37-0, runrate=3.70
Rudi 5-0-18-0
Clarke* 11 (24 balls)
Jones 23 (36 balls)
:( No wickets. That's the end of Rudi's spell, he'll be back in the final 10. Folkes has got two more, and Tuckett is going to be coming back into the attack. My two best bowlers for the next four overs. Hope we can get a few wickets...

End of Over 16: 62-0, runrate=3.88
Tuckett 3-0-16-0
Jones* 32 (57 balls)
Clarke 23 (39 balls)
Still no wickets, Tuckett looking a tad out of touch. :(

16.2 . Eli to Jones
Very audible snick but the ball falls well short of Crouch at gully. Surely he's too far back for Eli's bowling. They'll come to regret that miss.
Amen.

If I can keep this stranglehold on till 40 overs, I could hold them back to a chaseable target, but it looks unlikely. I am afraid Eli and Crouch both might leak runs...

End of Over 50: 241-5, runrate=4.82
Folkes 10-0-37-2
Atkins* 1 (2 balls)
Rajasani 1 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Allan c. Crouch b. Folkes 2 (FOW: 240/5)
As I guessed, 250ish. I need 242 to win on my League II debut. Doubt I'll make it, but here's hoping for the best.

0.1 4 Ningi to Cutler
Fullish ball well outside off stump, Cutler angles the face and runs it away between the slips and gully, beats two fielders diving towards it simultaneously. The ball races away to the vacant third man boundary.
End of Over 1: 8-0, runrate=8.00, reqrunrate=4.78 (241-5)
Ningi 1-0-8-0
Bennett* 0 (0 balls)
Cutler 8 (6 balls)
Good start...
