End of Over 22: 82-5, runrate=3.73
Brittain 6-2-17-0
Ali* 7 (13 balls)
Moodley 13 (35 balls)

Last Wicket: Jepson lbw b. Ahaliyagoda 1 (FOW: 71/5)
Looks like im going to need every penny ive got....to buy a whole new batting line up!!! Rubbish!

End of Over 26: 118-4, runrate=4.54
Walters 3-1-7-0
Bryant* 55 (79 balls)
Joseph 4 (5 balls)
Last Wicket: Spyrou c. Foot b. Lescott 24 (FOW: 113/4)

Sold an opening batsman midweek and yet to replace him. Opposition is quite similar to my team, but worse. This is OK, but I really need to get into their tail soon.

End of Over 30: 126-3, runrate=4.20
Ferdinand 5-0-30-0
Gilroy* 54 (82 balls)
Basson 15 (13 balls)

I need to maintain this rate for another 10 overs then accelerate a bit in the last 10, I'm aiming for 250. We're rightly attacking Ferdinand but everyone else is keeping it tight. One of Gilroy's slowest ever 50s for me.

32.6 1 Lancashire to Basson
One run. On off stump and pushed to mid off.
32.5 1 Lancashire to Gilroy
Flicked around to the deep mid wicket region.
32.4 4 Lancashire to Gilroy
That shot by Gilroy was worth the admission money alone. Four glorious runs.
32.3 4 Lancashire to Gilroy
It's all the way to the boundary as Binnion makes a desperate dive at the ball, but misses.
32.2 2 Lancashire to Gilroy
A delivery short of a length is met with great timing by Gilroy. The sweeper has to run a long way around the boundary and the batsmen, who set off quickly for the first, walk the second.
32.1 4 Lancashire to Gilroy
A phenomenal shot from Gilroy's arsenal. Clearly looking to impress today and maybe looking to give the selectors a headache ahead of the next game.

Gilroy is officially a legend - Lancashire is a Quality spinner and he's just taken him to the cleaners.

End of Over 33: 152-3, runrate=4.61
Lancashire 7-1-38-1
Basson* 20 (18 balls)
Gilroy 75 (95 balls)

35.4 6 Byron to Basson
Short ball waiting to be hit. Basson rocked back and hit it high and handsome over square leg.
35.3 4 Byron to Basson
Short rising ball just outside off, Basson frees the arms and back cuts in the air, through the gap between the slips and gully, down to the vacant third man boundary.

36.1 4 Ferdinand to Basson
A deft touch sees four runs to the batsman, an exquisite late cut.

This is just brilliant. Basson and Gilroy doing me proud. I'm almost certain of a competitive target now.

35.1 6 Gillman to Ali
Ali rocks on to the back foot and hooks the ball for six. Great shot!
35.4 6 Gillman to Ali
That's right out of the meat of the bat and out of the stadium. Six runs!
Perfect way to say hello to a former team mate :)
End of Over 40: 157-5, runrate=3.93
Gillman 10-1-41-1
Moodley* 49 (86 balls)
Ali 43 (70 balls)

Last Wicket: Jepson lbw b. Ahaliyagoda 1 (FOW: 71/5)
Who would have thought it? 10 overs to go and these 2 are still in, 200 is on possibly!

End of Over 45: 262-3, runrate=5.82
Ocarroll 8-0-47-0
Basson* 88 (64 balls)
Gilroy 116 (121 balls)

This is going better than I ever could have hoped for. I think I put Basson on Normal orders, and if I did it seems to indicate he likes them. Will have to experiemnt a bit more.

On a cracked pitch I stand a real chance of bowling them out, I reckom.

End of Over 50: 296-8, runrate=5.92
Lancashire 10-1-61-3
Purse* 2 (2 balls)
Otto 0 (1 balls)

The usual late flurry of wickets but I've got a real chance here.

I bowled out my openents for a very impressive 140:D, green pitch but my bowlers are improving. Hopefully this shouldn't be too difficult a chase. However, I have lost Fisher early.

Code:
0.5 W	Ballard to Fisher
Oh how unlucky can you get? The ball ricocheted off his partner's bat and looped up for an easy catch for Leonard.

Going very nicely now though...

Code:
End of Over 8: 50-1, runrate=6.25, reqrunrate=2.17 (140-10)
Halliwell	4-0-29-0
Gravey*	24 (26 balls)
Collins	19 (20 balls)
Last Wicket: Fisher c. Leonard b. Ballard 4 (FOW: 6/1)

End of Over 10: 41-0, runrate=4.10, reqrunrate=6.40 (296-8)
Otto 5-0-22-0
Forde* 21 (27 balls)
Karthikeyan 17 (34 balls)

Nice and tight, run rate's creeping up.

12.4 W Alder to Haishen
Misjudged the line to a straight delivery; Clean bowled and Haishen shakes his head as he trudges off past the smiling Alder.
12.3 W Alder to Karthikeyan
He'll be in trouble here if it's a direct hit....and it is! Purse, with one stump to aim at, turns and throws and his brilliance does the rest! Karthikeyan run out by miles!

Huge wickets! The dangerman is still there but the middle order is only mediocre.

End of Over 13: 64-2, runrate=4.92, reqrunrate=6.30 (296-8)
Alder 7-0-30-1
Forde* 39 (38 balls)
Elliot 0 (1 balls)

Elliot is rubbish, he won't last long.

19.6 W Dodd to Elliot
Elliot prodded forward, and the ball clipped the side of his bat. Basson taking a regulation catch.

Got him. This is going well. New batsman can bat a bit but shouldn't get more than 30 or 40.

End of Over 20: 107-3, runrate=5.35, reqrunrate=6.33 (296-8)
Dodd 5-0-26-1
Forde* 71 (55 balls)
Filan 0 (0 balls)

20.5 W Stone to Forde
Oh how unlucky can you get? The ball ricocheted off his partner's bat and looped up for an easy catch for Heath.

The really, really big one - BTR of 99,000, wage of 22k, topped my league's batting averages last year. I'm going to win :D

End of Over 21: 110-4, runrate=5.24, reqrunrate=6.45 (296-8)
Stone 4-0-29-1
Binnion* 1 (1 balls)
Filan 0 (1 balls)

24.6 W Stone to Coldicott
Edged and out, no question of doubt there. Coldicott heads back to the pavilion.
24.5 W Stone to Filan
Quick work from Basson but did he knock the bails off before he got the ball? It's all academic, Filan is on his way!

Another 2 for Stone.

End of Over 27: 139-6, runrate=5.15, reqrunrate=6.87 (296-8)
Stone 7-0-47-3
Binnion* 17 (19 balls)
Byron 5 (7 balls)

This is turning into a very easy win.

33.6 W Dodd to Binnion
That has spun all the way and taken out leg stump! Beautiful delivery!

They had been recovering slight, not enough to worry me, but another wicket down.

Woah! Getting a guy out with a BT Rating of 99,000. I struggle to get guys out with 10,000 :(. Did you end up GFIing?

I did, yes. I'll TIE my cup game on Sunday, wouldn't win it ayway. Hopefully team fitness will get back up for the next league game, which could go either way.

We can tell you that Gillys Demolition Team won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

Gillys Demolition Team have selected Saich, Cohen, Qadir, Black, Bridges, Charlton, Matthews, Handbury, Caskey, Longrigg, Tahir.

sohrabslegends have picked Campbell, Mansell, Sewell, Keen, Luvoyo, Waheed, Naeem, Hazell, Winnacott, Mohammed, Zuma.

Wow. An 8 ball over there from Caskey. I put him on V attacking. He usually takes wickets on that. He took a 5 fa on va last week.

End of Over 2: 11-0, runrate=5.50
