How are you going, Syl?

A near perfect over ruined by the last 2 balls.

A 4 then a 2 from the final 2 balls means 6 runs comes from Caskey's over.

End of Over 12: 64-1, runrate=5.33
Caskey 6-0-27-0
Mansell* 27 (31 balls)
Sewell 28 (35 balls)
Last Wicket: Campbell c. Bridges b. Handbury 6 (FOW: 12/1)

End of Over 13: 65-1, runrate=5.00
Handbury 7-0-38-1
Mansell* 28 (32 balls)
Sewell 28 (40 balls)
Last Wicket: Campbell c. Bridges b. Handbury 6 (FOW: 12/1)

Good over there!

My match is in India so doesn't start for a while yet.

That's good going conceding only 1 run inside the first 15 overs.

Found a typo in the commentary.

13.6 wd Caskey to Mansell
A wide, speared down the leg side. Bridges takes the ball before leaping into a facetious appeal, attempting deter the umpire from signalling a wide, but it the man in the white coat is wise to it.

15.3 W Caskey to Sewell
Bouncer. Sewell goes for the hook but fails to keep it down. Qadir at deep fine leg takes the catch.

Good innings of 30 from Sewell.

Good over. Only 2 from it.

End of Over 20: 105-2, runrate=5.25
Caskey 10-0-48-1
Keen* 12 (11 balls)
Mansell 51 (60 balls)
Last Wicket: Sewell c. Qadir b. Caskey 30 (FOW: 82/2)

Caskey 10-0-48-1
Handbury 10-0-56-1

Longrigg's been a bit expensive for me.

Longrigg 3-0-19-0

Charlton bowling well as a replacement for Lisbie. He is a spinner.
Charlton 3-0-10-0

End of Over 32: 150-2, runrate=4.69
Tahir 6-2-15-0
Keen* 32 (42 balls)
Mansell 72 (102 balls)
Last Wicket: Sewell c. Qadir b. Caskey 30 (FOW: 82/2)

End of Over 33: 154-3, runrate=4.67
Charlton 4-0-14-1
Mansell* 74 (105 balls)
Luvoyo 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Keen b. Charlton 34 (FOW: 154/3)
32.6 W Charlton to Keen
Well, that made the batsman look a bit of a fool. Straight between bat and pad to hit middle halfway up!

Wicket! Just what I needed!

Got a wicket an over ago.

38.5 W Longrigg to Mansell
Short outside off stump and moving away. Mansell plays away from his body, gets an edge and Bridges takes the catch.

End of Over 39: 186-4, runrate=4.77
Longrigg 6-0-32-1
Waheed* 1 (1 balls)
Luvoyo 10 (14 balls)
Last Wicket: Mansell c. Bridges b. Longrigg 92 (FOW: 185/4)

Got another wicket an over ago. Charlton bowling well.

End of Over 40: 190-5, runrate=4.75
Charlton 7-0-25-2
Waheed* 3 (4 balls)
Naeem 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Luvoyo c. Qadir b. Charlton 11 (FOW: 190/5)
39.6 W Charlton to Luvoyo
Luvoyo drives at that one and Qadir takes a simple catch at waist height. Great decision by the captain to place a fielder there.

End of Over 47: 252-5, runrate=5.36
Charlton 9-0-45-2
Naeem* 31 (23 balls)
Waheed 34 (23 balls)
Last Wicket: Luvoyo c. Qadir b. Charlton 11 (FOW: 190/5)

I'll be chasing about 290.

47.1 6 Tahir to Naeem
What a stroke of luck! Naeem tried to pull that one through mid wicket but got a top edge over the head of Bridges. Still, it says six in the scorer's book, so Naeem won't mind!

End of Over 49: 275-5, runrate=5.61
Charlton 10-0-51-2
Waheed* 42 (28 balls)
Naeem 46 (30 balls)
Last Wicket: Luvoyo c. Qadir b. Charlton 11 (FOW: 190/5)

Charlton bowled well today. Just a couple of very expensive overs at the end ruined his figures.

The players are off the field for the break between innings.

End of Over 50: 283-5, runrate=5.66
Longrigg 10-0-65-1
Naeem* 52 (34 balls)
Waheed 44 (30 balls)
Last Wicket: Luvoyo c. Qadir b. Charlton 11 (FOW: 190/5)

I don't know whether this is gettable or not. My batting lineup have played **** lately. Were bowled out for 80 odd on Friday while chasing 212. And we bowled out for 142 while chasing 165 last Sunday. We will see.

End of Over 5: 28-0, runrate=5.60, reqrunrate=5.69 (283-5)
Campbell 3-0-14-0
Cohen* 12 (13 balls)
Saich 16 (17 balls)

I'm playing well right now.
Alright start.

Bang!
6.5 6 Campbell to Cohen
New ball please! That one has disappeared out of town.

Oh god! I come on for a score update and I've lost Cohen and Black in consecutive balls!

15.2 W Winnacott to Black
Oh that's magnificent! Cat-like reactions from first slip to take that catch. They'll be replaying that one a few times in the studio.
15.1 W Winnacott to Cohen
Cohen has edged the ball to Sewell and the umpire's given it!

End of Over 16: 84-3, runrate=5.25, reqrunrate=5.88 (283-5)
Winnacott 3-0-13-3
Bridges* 2 (2 balls)
Qadir 12 (12 balls)
Last Wicket: Black c. Luvoyo b. Winnacott 0 (FOW: 79/3)

RRR getting higher every over.

Awesome start from my guys.
End of Over 1: 12-0, runrate=12.00
Atkinson 1-0-12-0
Masibulele* 1 (2 balls)
Steele 11 (4 balls)
0.6 1 Atkinson to Masibulele
Masibulele didn't know where that went but the non-striker called him through for a cheeky single as the ball trickled along the crease towards square leg.
0.5 . Atkinson to Masibulele
Good fielding by Tyson prevents any runs there.
0.4 1 Atkinson to Steele
It looked like two runs after a great cover drive by Steele. However, excellent fielding by Naysmith restricts them to one.
0.3 2 Atkinson to Steele
Steele drives it straight down the ground, the fielder from mid off gives it a chase and restricts it to two runs.
0.2 6 Atkinson to Steele
Two … four … SIX! That's quite literally a cracker as it ricochets off the the window above the members enclosure.
0.1 2 Atkinson to Steele
Slower ball, but Steele reads it and knocks it square for a couple.
2.5 4 Atkinson to Steele
Excellent pull shot screams away through wide mid on. That really was a classy shot.

4.3 6 Atkinson to Masibulele
Bang! Six of the best, that's how to play cricket!
6.5 4 Atkinson to Masibulele
Driven square through backward point and that's a lovely shot. Masibulele hardly sets off to run, knowing it's four all the way.

8.5 4 Atkinson to Steele
Elegantly flicked off his toes by Steele - no need to run for that!
8.4 4 Atkinson to Steele
A square drive beats a diving fielder in the covers.

Good start after 10
End of Over 10: 61-0, runrate=6.10
Menzies 5-0-13-0
Masibulele* 23 (27 balls)
Steele 37 (33 balls)

Damn. Just lost 2 wickets in a row a couple of overs ago.

22.5 W Hazell to Charlton
Hazell makes the breakthrough! Good length ball just sliding through on off stump, nips back a fair way off the seam, flicks through to Sewell, big appeal and the umpire raises the finger.
22.4 W Hazell to Bridges
Gone! Hazell has bowled Bridges with a yorker. To top it off, Bridges's broken his bat as he slammed it into the pitch trying to keep that delivery out.

Bridges made 26.

End of Over 29: 158-5, runrate=5.45, reqrunrate=6.00 (283-5)
Hazell 5-0-38-2
Qadir* 31 (37 balls)
Matthews 26 (31 balls)
Last Wicket: Charlton c. Sewell b. Hazell 0 (FOW: 120/5)

Think I can still win it?
If I lose one more wicket, I'm screwed.

Masibulele out just short of his 50 :(

16.3 W Dlomo to Masibulele
GODDIM! Dlomo banged it in short and Masibulele tried to pull it but he got a top edge to Atkinson at mid wicket who steadied himself and swallowed an easy catch

Promotion for Chavhanga working well so far.
18.3 4 Dlomo to Chavhanga
A great shot from Chavhanga there. A full-blooded cover drive that races away to the boundary.

End of Over 20: 109-1, runrate=5.45
Vallance 5-0-20-0
Steele* 51 (64 balls)
Chavhanga 11 (11 balls)
Last Wicket: Masibulele c. Atkinson b. Dlomo 42 (FOW: 93/1)

End of Over 31: 165-5, runrate=5.32, reqrunrate=6.26 (283-5)
Zuma 6-0-42-0
Matthews* 27 (37 balls)
Qadir 37 (43 balls)
Last Wicket: Charlton c. Sewell b. Hazell 0 (FOW: 120/5)

No! Winnacott is back on!

Mite become a tight game Gilly

Syl good start there

Jus logged in and saw this...
End of Over 21: 131-2, runrate=6.24
Goonasena 1-0-1-0
Ahmed* 72 (71 balls)
Rampaul 36 (36 balls)

Last Wicket: Karthikeyan lbw b. Bolla 21 (FOW: 47/2)
Ahmed 17 yr old...1st week pull...well done lad

50 for Steele

18.1 1 Dlomo to Steele
Neatly played into the leg side and they can comfortably jog through for the single.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

Steele out for 54 :( Didn't expect Weaver to be in this early.
21.3 W Menzies to Steele
Short, hooked to deep backward square, Reaboka running wide from fine leg taking a brilliant catch.

End of Over 22: 114-2, runrate=5.18
Menzies 6-0-17-1
Chavhanga* 12 (16 balls)
Weaver 1 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Steele c. Reaboka b. Menzies 54 (FOW: 112/2)

21.3 4 Sabata to Ahmed
Ahmed pushes hard at this one and it flies right where fourth slip's waist would have been. Four streaky runs.
Thats it keep it up Ahmed

21.4 W Sabata to Ahmed
Hook, line and sinker! Sabata tempts Ahmed into fishing outside off stump, Kerley reeling in an ugly outside edge at slip.
OH nooo i just put the managers curse on him:(

9 from that over. Need a couple of them to get the RRR under 6.

End of Over 33: 178-5, runrate=5.39, reqrunrate=6.24 (283-5)
Zuma 7-0-51-0
Qadir* 48 (51 balls)
Matthews 29 (41 balls)
Last Wicket: Charlton c. Sewell b. Hazell 0 (FOW: 120/5)

Thats it keep it up Ahmed

OH nooo i just put the managers curse on him:(

Well played by Ahmed. Debut? :clap:clap

50 for Qadir.

33.1 4 Winnacott to Qadir
You won’t see a better pull shot than that all day. Four runs.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

He is a 25 year old from Pakistan.

Well he played his first match was the first cup game but he didnt get to bat untill yesterdays game which is when he made a 59:) and then today he gets another 50+ score....looks like he is going to become a really really good player

Half way through
End of Over 25: 154-3, runrate=6.16
Goonasena 3-0-9-0
Rampaul* 44 (42 balls)
Abdul kadir 9 (14 balls)

Last Wicket: Ahmed c. Kerley b. Sabata 76 (FOW: 135/3)
Hope i can get till 330...

You guys are looking good BC.

Good to see the boundaries still flowing.

24.1 4 Ayton to Chavhanga
Chavhanga crashes the ball between slip and gully and onwards to the rope for four. Ayton stands with hands on hips as if to suggest that a third and fourth slip might be appreciated.

24.5 4 Ayton to Weaver
A dolly delivered full and wide outside off stump. Weaver's eyes are like saucers as he thrashes it to the extra cover boundary.

7 from that over. Matthews is playing well as a replacement. Touch wood![/B

End of Over 35: 190-5, runrate=5.43, reqrunrate=6.27 (283-5)
Zuma 8-0-58-0
Qadir* 55 (56 balls)
Matthews 34 (48 balls)
Last Wicket: Charlton c. Sewell b. Hazell 0 (FOW: 120/5)

Why the hell did my touch wood not work! Grr!!!

35.3 W Winnacott to Matthews
Matthews has gone for the paddle sweep ... but he's overbalanced and Sewell has whipped off the bails ... no need to refer that one to the 3rd umpire, Matthews is lying in a crumpled heap two feet outside his crease staring forlornly at the wreckage.

Game over now.

End of Over 36: 193-6, runrate=5.36, reqrunrate=6.50 (283-5)
Winnacott 8-0-32-4
Handbury* 1 (3 balls)
Qadir 56 (58 balls)
Last Wicket: Matthews st. Sewell b. Winnacott 34 (FOW: 192/6)

:( :(
