Yea usually have to put those guys on defensive.

Ryan has been awesome today and has picked up a well deserved wicket.

5.5 W Ryan to Barton
The umpire raises his finger for LBW. Barton is staring at the edge of his bat, he's obviously not pleased at that decision!

End of Over 6: 24-1, runrate=4.00
Ryan 3-0-7-1
Browne* 20 (25 balls)
Way 0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Barton lbw b. Ryan 4 (FOW: 24/1)

End of Over 6: 41-0, runrate=6.83
Tahir 3-0-24-0
Hitish* 20 (21 balls)
Chanderpaul 18 (18 balls)
5.6 1 Tahir to Hitish
Placed just wide of mid off.
5.5 2 Tahir to Hitish
Hitish went the whole hog with that hoik to cow corner, a tight second testing his hamstrings.
5.4 1 Tahir to Chanderpaul
In the air . . . and safe! Chanderpaul picks up a fortuitous single.
5.3 3 Tahir to Hitish
What a risky shot but they'll pick up three.
5.2 1 Tahir to Chanderpaul
That?s good running, Saich needs to be sharper than that.

:mad

6.1 4 Caskey to Hitish
An inside edge just beats a diving Bridges and races to the boundary for four.

Yea usually have to put those guys on defensive.

Ryan has been awesome today and has picked up a well deserved wicket.

Nah, but then they don't get wickets. They need to be attacking so they pick up wickets.

End of Over 7: 55-0, runrate=7.86
Caskey 4-0-31-0
Chanderpaul* 19 (20 balls)
Hitish 33 (25 balls)

6.6 4 Caskey to Hitish
Edged and through the slips for four. Caskey seems to be losing his cool here. He could do with some comforting words from his teammates to calm him down.
6.5 4 Caskey to Hitish
That one strays down leg, rubbish really, and that's well worked off the legs for four by Hitish. Meat and drink to him, not to mention bread and butter
6.4 1 Caskey to Chanderpaul
Short, lift, pulled to the region of deep mid wicket. Charlton doing the fielding.
6.3 . Caskey to Chanderpaul
The ball is a bit mistimed but it falls safely to the ground.
6.2 1 Caskey to Hitish
one run, well hit but straight to long on and they’ll only get one.
6.1 4 Caskey to Hitish
An inside edge just beats a diving Bridges and races to the boundary for four.

If I could control what was happening, they'd be off in a flash.

Ryan is attacking on defensive and has picked up his 2nd wicket now.
Another disappointing over from Hitish at least Ryan is making up for him.

7.2 W Ryan to Browne
That one's coming down with snow on it, and held magnificently by Rampaul. Ryan is delighted with that catch and mobs Rampaul.
End of Over 8: 33-2, runrate=4.13
Ryan 4-0-10-2
Way* 7 (6 balls)
Dodge 1 (3 balls)
Last Wicket: Browne c. Rampaul b. Ryan 21 (FOW: 31/2)

Code:
End of Over 8: 61-1, runrate=7.63

Rupalatha	0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Chanderpaul b. Tahir 23 (FOW: 61/1)
7.6 [COLOR="Red"]W	[/COLOR]Tahir to Chanderpaul
[COLOR="Red"] Wow, what a cracker of a ball by Tahir, Chanderpaul obviously had no idea, his castle's been cleaned out, and he's on his way home.[/COLOR]

That should slow things down.

End of Over 9: 67-1, runrate=7.44
Caskey 5-0-37-0
Rupalatha* 1 (1 balls)
Hitish 40 (32 balls)
Last Wicket: Chanderpaul b. Tahir 23 (FOW: 61/1)

Only 6 from that over. :S

Nokes* 18 (23 balls)
Cooke 38 (31 balls)

Not looking good. Playing the Savage Sharks (on a Hard and Fast pitch). Need some good overs or wickets soon, or this will get away from me.

Yea not looking too good for you leftie.

Not the greatest start for my spinner.

End of Over 11: 52-2, runrate=4.73
Hamed 1-0-5-0
Way* 25 (21 balls)
Dodge 2 (6 balls)
Last Wicket: Browne c. Rampaul b. Ryan 21 (FOW: 31/2)

I am playing on a hard and fast pitch because my opposition has awesome bowlers and no spinners. I have 1 spinner. :)

Handbury off to a terrible start.

11.3 4 Handbury to Rupalatha
Rupalatha guards middle and leg, giving him room for a fantastic square cut. Four runs all the way.
11.2 4 Handbury to Rupalatha
Shows the full face of the bat and punches it down the ground for four.
11.1 1 Handbury to Hitish
That's a neat little late cut through the vacant third slip region for a single.

11.4 . Handbury to Rupalatha
That's a dangerous bouncer! The batsman thankfully evades and initiates a ten second staring match with Handbury.

Good balL!

Wow Hamed listened, hes on a hattrick first ball next over.

12.6 W Hamed to Whaley
Good flight, the ball drifted in the air then spun the opposite away clipping the top of off stump. Whaley need not feel ashamed after getting out to a ball of that quality.
12.5 W Hamed to Dodge
That's a classy looking drive with one major problem, he missed the ball. The clatter of the ball hitting the stumps confirms his departure.

End of Over 13: 63-4, runrate=4.85
Hamed 2-0-12-2
Way* 29 (28 balls)
Cloete 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Whaley b. Hamed 0 (FOW: 63/4)

End of Over 14: 103-1, runrate=7.36
Handbury 2-0-18-0
Hitish* 50 (45 balls)
Rupalatha 26 (18 balls)
Last Wicket: Chanderpaul b. Tahir 23 (FOW: 61/1)

The wicket didn't do anything :mad

Code:
15.3 6	Handbury to Hitish
Superb stroke by Hitish. You don't see a square cut for six everyday.
15.2 4	Handbury to Hitish
A square drive beats a diving fielder in the covers.
15.1 4	Handbury to Hitish
Lofted drive away for four through the covers.

Hitish* 68 (54 balls)
Rupalatha 31 (27 balls)
Last Wicket: Chanderpaul b. Tahir 23 (FOW: 61/1)

OMG! Only one from it!

2 bouncers. :D

17.2 . Handbury to Hitish
This is getting nasty. Plenty of chat flying and I think it's time to turn the stump microphones off; this is all very uncivilised.
17.1 . Handbury to Hitish
The bouncer! Teriffic ball, right around the throat area and Hitish just ducks in the nick of time to get his noggin out of the way.

End of Over 18: 127-1, runrate=7.06
Handbury 4-0-36-0
Hitish* 69 (58 balls)
Rupalatha 31 (29 balls)
Last Wicket: Chanderpaul b. Tahir 23 (FOW: 61/1)

I have to keep thisup. Longrigg the only one not going for runs. Touch wood.

Not what I wanted with the field out.

And that's his fifty! Well played.

Hitish* 70 (62 balls)
Rupalatha 31 (31 balls)
Last Wicket: Chanderpaul b. Tahir 23 (FOW: 61/1)

I feel something big coming.

My 1 and only spinner is on next over. Hopefully he can do some damage.

End of Over 21: 135-1, runrate=6.43
Longrigg 4-0-12-0
Rupalatha* 36 (39 balls)
Hitish 72 (66 balls)
Last Wicket: Chanderpaul b. Tahir 23 (FOW: 61/1)

Run rate decreasing with every over.

End of Over 22: 141-1, runrate=6.41
Charlton 1-0-6-0
Rupalatha* 41 (44 balls)
Hitish 72 (68 balls)
Last Wicket: Chanderpaul b. Tahir 23 (FOW: 61/1)

Not so good start for CHarlton.
I need a wicket.

Geez Ryan is having a poor second spell.

Code:
End of Over 24: 122-4, runrate=5.08
Ryan	7-0-32-2
Way*	64 (60 balls)
Cloete	24 (34 balls)
Last Wicket: Whaley b. Hamed 0 (FOW: 63/4)
23.6 2	Ryan to Cloete
Worked easily towards deep mid wicket. They comfortably complete two before Weaver's throw reaches Masibulele.
23.5 2	Ryan to Cloete
Full and wide, slammed high over point for two as the ball lands safely.
23.4 .	Ryan to Cloete
Short rising delivery down the leg side. Cloete looks to work it away fine but fails to connect. The ball clips the thigh pad and goes straight to the keeper. Loud appeal for caught behind turned down by the umpire and rightly so.
23.3 .	Ryan to Cloete
Jagged back from outside off, cutting Cloete in two. Superb delivery!
23.2 4	Ryan to Cloete
Short and picked up to mid wicket for a boundary.
23.1 3	Ryan to Way
Brilliant late cut shot! Way's put it right in between the two fielders! Chavhanga makes a diving save on the boundary line to keep it to three, but some great batting there!

Finally got a wicket.

33.2 W Mohammed to Cloete
Weaver is running around the boundary rope..he dives..and what an amazing catch! Weaver took that in his left hand and rapped his right around it as he fell to the ground. Brilliant!

Going good now.

34.1 W Hamed to Sheppard
What a catch, that was a genuine stroke. Fantastic anticipation by Hitish at short leg.

As always, the experiments yield unexpected results. The weaker fast bowler with bad form finishes with good figures, the superior quick unable to get anywhere, the spinners struggle for economy on a helpful pitch. Meanwhile, the defensive top order set to attacking crumbles leaving the destructive batsman to hold it all together.

Wow. I'm doing well now.

Here are the wickets.

Code:
30.3 W	Longrigg to Hitish
Oh that's magnificent! Cat-like reactions from first slip to take that catch. They'll be replaying that one a few times in the studio.

Code:
31.2 W	Handbury to Rupalatha
That's a shame, Rupalatha has spanked that one away, but has broken the stumps with his bat.

17.gif

Code:
33.5 W	Handbury to Macdonald
Big inswinging yorker crashes into his pads. Massive appeal and given!

End of Over 39: 202-4, runrate=5.18
Charlton 8-0-37-0
Xolani* 8 (20 balls)
Ali 19 (18 balls)
Last Wicket: Macdonald lbw b. Handbury 2 (FOW: 177/4)

End of Over 40: 211-4, runrate=5.28
Handbury 10-0-60-2
Xolani* 15 (25 balls)
Ali 20 (19 balls)
Last Wicket: Macdonald lbw b. Handbury 2 (FOW: 177/4)

End of Over 41: 217-4, runrate=5.29
Tahir 6-0-39-1
Ali* 23 (22 balls)
Xolani 18 (28 balls)
Last Wicket: Macdonald lbw b. Handbury 2 (FOW: 177/4)

I think I'll be chasing just under 300. Looking interesting.

I'm getting spanked towards the end of my innings.

42.3 4 Tahir to Xolani
He's in fantastic nick today, sublime timing adds four more to his tally.
42.2 4 Tahir to Xolani
Played past a diving mid on fielder for the boundary.
42.1 1 Tahir to Ali
Solid stroke to wide extra cover, Saich fielding.

Good comeback Gilly

Finally Hitish has done something.

40.6 W Hitish to Mametsa
Did that pitch in-line? Umpire says yes and the slow raise of the finger signals that Hitish has got his man

Tail not going to be much match for Sam.
41.3 W Sam to Miah
An inside edge to a straight delivery helps the ball find leg stump; such a disappointing way to get out!

Gotta congrats Way he has held Angry team together. Well deserved 100.

43.3 4 Sam to Way
Short and on his hips. Flicked away for four.
And that's a century for Way! Well played indeed Sir!
And again
43.4 4 Sam to Way
Slap! Full and wide outside off stump, Way thrusts his front foot out, leans across and spanks it over point. Super shot. The ball just flew to the point boundary.
