Norfolk N Chance v Spinners United CCC (1189996)Welcome to St. Sexy's Pimp Palace for the match between Norfolk N Chance and Spinners United CCC.

We can tell you that Norfolk N Chance won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this partially cloud day.

Norfolk N Chance have selected Orr, Watling, Marsden, Byron, Foot, Flinders, Arnold, Walters, Cornick, Fabian, Lescott.

Spinners United CCC have picked Marsden, Chinthaka, Eagles, Mccormick, Bradshaw, Riaan, Machemko, Pead, Nedd, Slaytor, Cronin.

He chose to bowl? OK then, I wanted to bat anyway. Marsden gets a rare game, Im hoping he performs up to his stats and can put on a nice opening partnership with Chinthaka

End of Over 1: 1-0, runrate=1.00
Alder 1-0-1-0
Mainey* 1 (6 balls)
Spiller 0 (0 balls)

Sod it, meant to bat first and I left it on bowl. Ah well. Need early wickets so I get to chase a nice small target.

End of Over 2: 2-0, runrate=1.00
Otto 1-0-1-0
Mainey* 2 (12 balls)
Spiller 0 (0 balls)

Spiller's getting bored already.

2.1 W Alder to Mainey
Aaah. Did you hear that? The traditional English summer sound of leather on stump. Beautifully bowled.

You Beauty :D

not a good start

1.1 W Sealey to Watson
Oh dear, that ball has barely bounced at all. Watson couldn't get his bat down in time and loses his off stump.

End of Over 2: 12-1, runrate=6.00
Sealey 1-0-2-1
Moxey* 9 (5 balls)
Nokwe 2 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Watson b. Sealey 1 (FOW: 10/1)

End of Over 44: 212-6, runrate=4.82, reqrunrate=7.83 (258-9)
Tuckett 10-2-50-2
Haquani* 0 (2 balls)
Ibbrahim 108 (120 balls)

Last Wicket: Martyn lbw b. Tuckett 7 (FOW: 211/6)

Terrific innings by Ibbrahim, this is getting close

44.2 4 Rudi to Ibbrahim
Worked it around to a vacant backward square leg boundary, well placed.
44.4 4 Rudi to Ibbrahim
Played straight back past Rudi and the ball thumps into the sightscreen. Four!

Another one!

44.6 4 Rudi to Ibbrahim
Shot! Rudi offered the batsman the room to free his arms. Ibbrahim drives through cover and finds the gap in a crowded circle.
End of Over 45: 225-6, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=6.80 (258-9)
Rudi 8-0-57-1
Haquani* 1 (3 balls)
Ibbrahim 120 (125 balls)

Last Wicket: Martyn lbw b. Tuckett 7 (FOW: 211/6)
Folkes back on, what a comeback. Ibbrahim has just saved, and maybe won, the match for Zain...

45.3 W Folkes to Haquani
Haquani gets himself in a complete muddle there and is trapped LBW in front of the stumps.
7 down now.
45.5 4 Folkes to Ibbrahim
Worked it around to a vacant backward square leg boundary, well placed.
But that makes the over better.
5 off that over in all, Wajihullah on strike, Rudi to bowl, 29 runs to win in 24 balls.
End of Over 46: 230-7, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=7.25 (258-9)
Folkes 8-0-27-3
Wajihullah* 1 (1 balls)
Ibbrahim 124 (127 balls)

Last Wicket: Haquani lbw b. Folkes 1 (FOW: 225/7)

46.2 W Rudi to Wajihullah
That's an absolute peach of a delivery, finds the edge, and Packer takes it at the second attempt.
8 down now!
46.3 lb4 Rudi to Dickman
Packer will be kicking himself after that one.
Stupid Packer!
6 runs in that over in all, with Ibbrahim back on strike. Folkes to bowl, Ibbrahim is on fire. 23 in 18 balls. 2 wickets in hand. What will happen???
Don't go anywhere!

47.1 W Folkes to Ibbrahim
Ibbrahim goes for the on-drive, but gets a thick edge. Packer dives like a goalie and snags it brilliantly.
Game over! :) Packer is forgiven! Don't mess with Folkes, he just made the West Indies U-19s :p

47.4 W Folkes to Rahim
Must be LBW. Must be LBW! MUST BE LBW! It's carnival time for Folkes
All over, Folkes finishing with a fifer!

And that's the end of the match. TT Lions won by 20 runs.
TT Lions 258-9
Assassins XI 238-10
Folkes (5/29) or Rudi (77* and 2/59) shall be MOTM. But I think Ibbrahim deserves it, what an innings.

15.5 W Hemmings to Glody
Glody has mistimed his shot and Hemmings and Basson are appealing! The umpire seems to be nodding, and he's out - leg before wicket!

Hemmings has been expensive but takes the wicket. Gore's in, who's a decent player, so I hope Stone can get a couple - Hemmings is only in because I need to preserve Dodd's fitness for league games.

positive experiment today, tried a new opening pair and they have put on 174 unbeaten off 26.2 overs

sadly the attack isnt as strong as i anticipate,d so doesn't solve everything

26.5 W Mcveigh to Nokwe
It's never wise to take on Sealey. He was onto that one in a flash and the direct hit sends Nokwe on his way.

get in!

17.1 4 Cornick to Marsden
Charges the delivery, unleashes a square drive, ball goes straight through Marsden at deep backward point.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

Marsden manages a 50, very nice. But...

18.1 W Lescott to Marsden
Marsden goes down very low for the sweep... but the ball hasn't bounced and cannons into his chest! Big appeal and OUT! Gut Before Wicket!

There goes wonderkid, out for 53, 85/1

21.2 W Walters to Chinthaka
Wide delivery from Walters which ripped off the surface and moved virtually sideways onto off stump. Incredible bowling from Walters. Chinthaka can't believe it.

35 for Chinthaka as both openers are now gone. 99/2

Eagles and McCormick, both academy graduates at around the same time, are now in:

End of Over 30: 160-2, runrate=5.33
Walters 5-0-31-1
Eagles* 47 (38 balls)
Mccormick 20 (27 balls)

Last Wicket: Chinthaka b. Walters 35 (FOW: 99/2)

They're going nicely, heres hoping they make it to the end and stick a big score on the board

31.1 2 Cornick to Eagles
Oooh! Eagles rocks back to pull a short rising ball outside off stump, hurries on to him and he cheekily lobs it over the head of Fabian at mid on, only just clear of the fielder, and gets away with two runs.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

Eagles 50 off 42, just what we needed.

GN has a problem, really they need 2 wickets to get to Riaan, which is where my batting lineup can come undone. Problem is that these 2 look in good touch and the next batsman, Bradshaw, is coming in off a not out 50 in the last game and also looks good

37.6 1 Cornick to Eagles
Pushes it to mid on and runs a quick single.
37.5 1 Cornick to Mccormick
Sneaky single past short square leg. Watling needs to be alive to that.
37.4 4 Cornick to Mccormick
The edge could have been caught had Foot dived to his left, but the ball races away for four behind him.
37.3 6 Cornick to Mccormick
Cop that! Mccormick puts Cornick into the carpark!
37.2 1 Cornick to Eagles
Cut away beautifully off the back foot, but a great stop at backward point keeps it to one run.
37.1 . Cornick to Eagles
The ball pitches up outside off stump, Eagles pushes to the mid off region.

Here we go, accelerating now. With 8 wickets in hand I am fairly confident of a high total.

End of Over 39: 224-2, runrate=5.74
Walters 8-0-49-1
Mccormick* 49 (52 balls)
Eagles 77 (67 balls)

Last Wicket: Chinthaka b. Walters 35 (FOW: 99/2)

Well placed for the last 10 charge

39.1 1 Cornick to Mccormick
A huge slog shot isn't timed and there's just a single to mid on.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

McCormick joins Eagles in getting a 50, his off 53 balls

Well, it's on a flat pitch, so what can you expect. I doubt it'll be the case, but I'd very pleased if he gets a score under 300.
