40.3 W Hodge to Lucas
Lucas has tried to slog that one but Pieters is getting under it. OUT! Lucas caught in the deep by Pieters.

:) might restrict him to under 270

End of Over 40: 179-3, runrate=4.48
Hemmings 10-0-61-2
Gore* 58 (83 balls)
Nicholls 4 (1 balls)

Hopefully he won't get far past 250.

EDIT:

41.5 W Stiles to Barnard
Pokes at a wide one outside offstump, and gets the faintest of nicks to Basson standing up the the stumps. Stiles is ecstatic, that really was a terrible shot from Barnard.
41.4 4 Stiles to Barnard
Barnard leans back and pulls it well in front of square and it races away for four.
41.3 W Stiles to Gore
Spectacular superman dive by the 2nd slip! The batsmen can't believe it but he's out!

Maybe he won't get that far ;)

Well, it's on a flat pitch, so what can you expect. I doubt it'll be the case, but I'd very pleased if he gets a score under 300.

Well I am now going at over 6 an over, so 300 may be on the cards. I'd back my bowlers to defend a score of over 300.

End of Over 43: 259-2, runrate=6.02
Byron 7-2-23-0
Eagles* 90 (77 balls)
Mccormick 71 (66 balls)

Last Wicket: Chinthaka b. Walters 35 (FOW: 99/2)

By the looks of your bowlers' wages, I'd expect only Slaytor to make an impact. The others might be disappearing around the ground.

45.2 4 Fabian to Eagles
Half-volley and smashed through cover point for four.
And that's a century for Eagles! Well played indeed Sir!

Eagles 100 off 85 balls. Excellent stuff from him, definitely one of my strongest batters.

End of Over 47: 303-2, runrate=6.45
Byron 9-2-41-0
Eagles* 110 (89 balls)
Mccormick 93 (79 balls)

Last Wicket: Chinthaka b. Walters 35 (FOW: 99/2)

Theres the 300 and still going strong. Partnership of 200 between Eagles and Mccormick up as well in that over.

47.2 W Alder to Singh
My word! Basson has taken a magnificent diving catch, his arms appeared to stretch out of their sockets and extend an unfeasible distance to pluck that ball out of the air!
46.6 W Otto to Samuel
Superb catch behind by Basson.
46.4 W Otto to Nicholls
The batsman is struck on the back foot right in front of middle stump. Plumb LBW.

The expected flurry of wickets.

End of Over 49: 324-2, runrate=6.61
Byron 10-2-53-0
Mccormick* 96 (83 balls)
Eagles 127 (97 balls)
Last Wicket: Chinthaka b. Walters 35 (FOW: 99/2)

A good 10 overs from Byron considering everyone else's appalling figures.

End of Over 50: 232-10, runrate=4.64
Alder 9-0-37-3
Bird* 5 (4 balls)

I should chase that down, but BFN bowled me out for 184 last time I played them, on the same pitch type, in the same weather conditions, so I'm still a little nervous...

End of Over 50: 333-2, runrate=6.66
Fabian 10-0-77-0
Mccormick* 103 (87 balls)
Eagles 129 (99 balls)
Last Wicket: Chinthaka b. Walters 35 (FOW: 99/2)

Very tidy last over considering Fabian's been rubbish for the rest of the game.

49.1 4 Fabian to Mccormick
Forward, found the gap through covers, played out to a vacant deep extra cover region.
And that's a century for Mccormick! Well played indeed Sir!

Mccormick gets 100 as well, off 84 balls

End of Over 50: 333-2, runrate=6.66
Fabian 10-0-77-0
Mccormick* 103 (87 balls)
Eagles 129 (99 balls)

Last Wicket: Chinthaka b. Walters 35 (FOW: 99/2)

333-2 we end up with. All thanks to a massive 234 partnership between Eagles and Mccormick. Lets see how the bowlers do now

The attack today is Riaan, Cronin, Nedd, Machemko and Slaytor. Riaan, Nedd and Slaytor I don't think I'll have problems with, its down to the other 2
