Commentary Thread

I was supposed to rest Eli too and play Pinnock in his place! Made a mistake there. And Falken isn't playing, so Spearitt is keeping wicket. I really messed up the lineup this time...

yep i saw that zorax:p

22.4 4 Eli to Karthikeyan
Straight drive for four.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

:happy

25.5 2 Tuckett to Mckenzie
Two runs. Short of a length ball and Mckenzie goes back and plays away from the body behind point. Folds chases and the batsmen don't chance his arm.
And that's his fifty! Well played.
:happy

End of Over 30: 133-0, runrate=4.43
Tuckett 5-1-17-0
Karthikeyan* 58 (83 balls)
Mckenzie 57 (98 balls)

Well done 133 runs partnership, should step on accelerator now

30.4 W Eli to Mckenzie
A much quicker delivery catches Mckenzie by surprise and he fails to get any bat on it as the ball hits him in front of middle and leg.
136 Run partnership comming to an end by some good bowling from ELI

Ahmed comming in and trying to up the run rate
31.3 6 Packer to Ahmed
They will be needing a new ball, no hope finding it. Huge hit for six by Ahmed
31.2 . Packer to Ahmed
On the toes, bit of lift, played down into the covers.
31.1 6 Packer to Ahmed
Packer has chucked a pie down and Ahmed gobbles it up. Six runs!

End of Over 40: 202-1, runrate=5.05
Packer 10-0-65-0
Karthikeyan* 89 (113 balls)
Ahmed 28 (29 balls)

Last Wicket: Mckenzie lbw b. Eli 58 (FOW: 136/1)
Last 10 overs to go
100 would be awesomee

41.2 6 Tuckett to Karthikeyan
And that's coming towards us... six through the commentary box window!
And that's a century for Karthikeyan! Well played indeed Sir!
41.1 6 Tuckett to Karthikeyan
Karthikeyan has lined it up. It's long enough, it's high enough, it's straight over the ropes!
THats his 100 wut a way to bring it up :happy

42.3 W Crouch to Rampaul
Rampaul went for the big hit, and Barr has comfortably taken it.
42.2 W Crouch to Karthikeyan
Karthikeyan tries to cut, but is on to the ball too late and edges onto his stumps.
okay not supposed to happen 8-)

End of Over 46: 249-5, runrate=5.41
Rudi 8-1-22-0
Rampaul* 1 (2 balls)
Hocking 2 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Ahmed Run Out 49 (FOW: 248/5)

NOO ahmed gets out before another 50:( BT collapse on the cards?

End of Over 49: 265-10, runrate=5.41
Crouch 10-0-51-5
Hocking* 11 (9 balls)
48.6 W Crouch to Alshaun
Very, very plumb. Reverse sweep attempted, but that one keeps low. Alshaun isn't amused, but he's out. No question about that.
48.5 W Crouch to Tau
Yorker! Played all around it and his stumps have been scattered.
48.4 W Crouch to Masilo
Good length ball jags back a bit and he's played on. Great bowling!
Crouch bowling well restricting Devilish Angels to 265...they would have wanted 300 but have to do with 265

Tau 8-0-53-0
Rudi* 95 (110 balls)
Crouch 59 (60 balls)

Last Wicket: Williams c. Masilo b. Rampaul 7 (FOW: 86/4)
Hmm...66 runs in 66 balls. If this game wasn't so famous for it's trademark BT Collapses, I would actually think I stood a chance of winning...

40.1 4 Alshaun to Rudi
Rudi sends his partner and the umpire diving as he crashes the ball back past them. Slightly mistimed shot, but he still got a boundary for it.
And that's a century for Rudi! Well played indeed Sir!
Fabulous innings. Absolutely terriffic.

End of Over 41: 211-5, runrate=5.15, reqrunrate=6.11 (265-10)
Alshaun 6-0-36-1
Crouch* 62 (64 balls)
Folds 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Rudi lbw b. Alshaun 103 (FOW: 211/5)
Rudi gone.

I've got nothing to fear, but a BT collapse :p

End of Over 43: 228-5, runrate=5.30, reqrunrate=5.43 (265-10)
Alshaun 7-0-43-1
Folds* 11 (7 balls)

Last Wicket: Rudi lbw b. Alshaun 103 (FOW: 211/5)
Wow, I could win this! 37 needed in 42 balls!

44.3 W Alshaun to Folds
The ball shapes away from Folds and he ends up guiding it into the grateful hands of first slip.
End of Over 45: 240-6, runrate=5.33, reqrunrate=5.20 (265-10)
Alshaun 8-0-48-2
Crouch* 75 (76 balls)

Last Wicket: Folds c. Rampaul b. Alshaun 14 (FOW: 237/6)

Masilo 8-0-46-3
Spearitt* 2 (3 balls)
Crouch 84 (81 balls)

Last Wicket: Folds c. Rampaul b. Alshaun 14 (FOW: 237/6)
Great over! :) 16 needed in 4 overs, I should win this now!

you should be able to win from there Zorax... unless the allmighty BT collapse strikes

BT Collapse! I hate this game! :crying

46.1 W Alshaun to Spearitt
The ball struck Spearitt in line and after a moment to consider where the ball pitched, the umpire raised the finger. Out!
46.3 W Alshaun to Shipp
That's gone! Shipp launched himself at it, but only succeeded in picking out the fielder in the deep.
End of Over 47: 250-8, runrate=5.32, reqrunrate=5.33 (265-10)
Alshaun 9-1-48-4
Crouch* 84 (81 balls)
Eli 0 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Shipp c. Rampaul b. Alshaun 0 (FOW: 250/8)

All up to Crouch...

LOl zorax jus went to the game and saw this...

47.4 W Masilo to Eli
And that's high in the air, no problems for Hocking at all. I'm not sure that celebration will go down well with the batsman though.

U have been hit by the BT Collapse:p

I hate BT! These collapses completely screw up the game! 16 to win in 24 balls, which team would collapse like this! And which team has tailenders this inept! I'm sure they could take one and give Crouch the strike!!

The BT engine needs to be tweaked

251/9, 15 needed in 2, and Crouch gives the strike to Tuckett

The BT engine is really screwed up...

End of Over 49: 262-9, runrate=5.35, reqrunrate=4.00 (265-10)
Alshaun 10-1-59-4
Crouch* 94 (87 balls)
Tuckett 2 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Eli c. Hocking b. Masilo 0 (FOW: 251/9)
Tuckett survives!
4 to win, last over, Crouch on strike...

49.1 1 Masilo to Crouch
Oops! A misfield by Masilo off his own bowling allows the batsmen through for a quick single.
Idiot

49.2 6 Masilo to Tuckett
That landed next to the gentleman having an afternoon snooze, and gave him quite a shock. Welcome back to the land of the living.
Of all the ways I could have won...
A six from the number 11 with 3 to win in the final over!
Unbelievabl! What a skippers innings :p

Must admit I thought you'd struggle to chase that Zorax. The all-rounders again, though, wasn't it?

Rudi + Crouch
=
7 wickets and 198 runs.

So, yea :p

TT Lions DeViLiSh AnGeLs
Top Order: competent respectable
Middle Order: competent competent
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: strong strong
Spin Bowling: proficient respectable
Fielding: mediocre feeble

MOTM: Crouch
Bowling suffered a bit without Folkes, but otherwise fine.

Wow what an awesome game that was. Just when it looked like Zorax was cruising in came the wickets. Bad luck BC and good win Zorax.
