End of Over 38: 173-3, runrate=4.55, reqrunrate=8.00 (268-3)
Crouch 9-0-40-0
Marsden* 64 (72 balls)
Bradshaw 25 (40 balls)

Last Wicket: Mccormick c. Barr b. Eli 4 (FOW: 113/3)

Tuckett has 3 overs, Crouch has 2, Rudi has 5, and Folkes 3. Problem is, Rudi and Folkes are both tired and Crouch is my weakest bowler...

Tuckett has been very good at restricting the rate. Marsden will keep giving it a go and Bradshaw is no mug with the bat. Riaan and Machemko to come, then we get into the tail

39.3 6 Crouch to Marsden
Half volley outside off stump, Marsden stands and delivers, strongly smashing it over extra cover, clearing the hoardings.

Ouch.
Come on man! its you last ever game for me, show them what kind of legend you are!!!!!!!!

End of Over 40: 191-3, runrate=4.78, reqrunrate=7.80 (268-3)
Crouch 10-0-51-0
Bradshaw* 30 (44 balls)
Marsden 75 (80 balls)

Last Wicket: Mccormick c. Barr b. Eli 4 (FOW: 113/3)

His final spell for me. And it wasn't a good one.
78 for Chez to win in 60 balls. I'm sure he can do it, I need wickets...

And I have just noticed, Barr is keeping wicket instead of Falken...:S

End of Over 42: 208-3, runrate=4.95, reqrunrate=7.62 (268-3)
Tuckett 9-0-33-1
Marsden* 78 (83 balls)
Bradshaw 44 (53 balls)

Last Wicket: Mccormick c. Barr b. Eli 4 (FOW: 113/3)

Wickets needed.
Morale and TFL/PFL have too large an impact on games nowadays. Any other day and this batting lineup would have been wiped out for under 220 at the most.

Mitchell 8-0-63-0

Heath 13 (8 balls)

Last Wicket: Ettienne c. Hume b. Hoult 119 (FOW: 258/3)

Too hard to get....

End of Over 45: 238-3, runrate=5.29, reqrunrate=6.20 (268-3)
Rudi 8-0-50-0
Bradshaw* 51 (60 balls)
Marsden 101 (94 balls)

Last Wicket: Mccormick c. Barr b. Eli 4 (FOW: 113/3)

I cant believe I could be on the verge of ruining the legacy of TT Lions. Its been fantastic between Bradshaw and Marsden, Marsden getting his first ever 100 for the team and Bradshaw a good 50.

45.3 W Folkes to Marsden
What a catch by Bennett in the covers. I haven't seen acrobatics like that since I last saw the circus. Marsden looks on in disbelief.

Marsden is gone! Wonderkid is out and Riaan is in. The legend of Riaan has to try and finish this off for us.

27 off 24 required...

46.6 4 Rudi to Bradshaw
Shot! Moves back to give himself room, then steps elegantly into an aerial extra cover drive which nearly carries for a clean six. It's a clean four instead!
46.5 1 Rudi to Machemko
Shapes away from the batsman, who plays it to leg for a single.
46.4 W Rudi to Riaan
Slightly wide and Riaan throws the kitchen sink at it. Skies a top edge out to point and it's safely pouched.
46.3 4 Rudi to Riaan
That is a classic on drive, one of the hardest shots in the book and Riaan made it look easy.
46.2 1 Rudi to Bradshaw
Driven wide of cover and they trot through for a gentle single.
46.1 1 Rudi to Riaan
He plays a neat stroke down to the third man boundary where it is nicely fielded. One run.

16 off 18 required now. A wicket makes this very intruiging, bringing Pead out who isnt brilliant with the bat. Machemko and Bradshaw need to see it through

47.3 W Folkes to Machemko
Machemko tries to cut, but it's not wide enough and he drags it onto his stumps!

There goes Machemko. Pead and Bradshaw in, Nedd, Slaytor and Cronin are all that's to come

11 needed off 12 balls.

47.6 W Mcdonald to Stoner
GODDIM! Mcdonald banged it in short and Stoner tried to pull it but he got a top edge to Blakeman at mid wicket who steadied himself and swallowed an easy catch
47.5 1 Mcdonald to Hansen
Forward, stroked to the off, extra cover fielding.
47.4 1 Mcdonald to Stoner
An easy single, as Stoner opens the face and runs it down to third man.
47.3 W Mcdonald to Mahmood
That delivery held up a fraction off the wicket and Mahmood spoons the simplest of catches to Blakeman at cover.
47.2 W Mcdonald to Heath
Shortish delivery and Heath has a go at it, but only succeeds in sending it right back to Mcdonald for an easy catch.
47.1 1 Mcdonald to Hansen
Worked down to third man for a single.

left no chance for me...

End of Over 49: 309-6, runrate=6.31, reqrunrate=43.00 (351-5)
Mitchell 10-0-76-0
Hansen* 81 (56 balls)
Mabbut 2 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Stoner c. Blakeman b. Mcdonald 1 (FOW: 302/6)

just look at reqrunrate....

48.3 W Rudi to Pead
That's OUT! Clean bowled. Pead played his shot about a week late.

Oh dear. Wes Nedd is in with Bradshaw. Proper tailender is Nedd

48.6 . Rudi to Bradshaw
How close was that? Bradshaw was nowhere near that one, groping around off stump, and it misses the bails by a coat of varnish and sails into Barr's gloves.
48.5 1 Rudi to Nedd
The sweeper on the leg side waits for the ball as it rolls towards him, and an easy single is taken.
48.4 . Rudi to Nedd
No run. Nedd tries to guide it fine but misses the edge by a cat's whisker.
48.3 W Rudi to Pead
That's OUT! Clean bowled. Pead played his shot about a week late.
48.2 1 Rudi to Bradshaw
Drifting onto the pads and played out to the mid wicket region. The batsmen take a quick single.
48.1 1 Rudi to Pead
Gently flicked around to the on side, mid wicket fielding.

7 needed off the last over. Tense. Nedd starts on strike

TT Lions win by 7 runs:

49.6 . Folkes to Cronin
Classic line and length delivery, past the outside edge, applauded by Barr.
49.5 W Folkes to Slaytor
Out! Tuckett was placed there just for that shot, and he takes an easy chance at head height. Smart cricket there from the fielding team.
49.4 . Folkes to Slaytor
Slaytor defends on the back foot to that short-pitched ball from Folkes. Folds runs in to field the ball.
49.3 . Folkes to Slaytor
That's a jolly good defensive shot into the ground. The ball swung in from a wonderful delivery by Folkes.
49.2 W Folkes to Nedd
Pitched up and swatted out towards the leg side boundary, a great catch on the ropes denies him the six.
49.1 . Folkes to Nedd
On the front foot, defends to the off, extra cover doing the fielding.

Maiden to end, Cronin, Slaytor and Nedd just not good enough

End of Over 23: 154-2, runrate=6.70
Hockley 2-0-21-0
Branch* 86 (57 balls)
Scriven 25 (24 balls)
Last Wicket: Smith c. Cockerill b. Wingham 28 (FOW: 90/2)
getting hammered by Branch, need him ou now or its over

Morale, TFL, and PFL have made this a much close victory than it should have been. Still good game. But the bowling was hopeless. Crouch is a weak bowler, Eli and Folkes had poor PFL, and then Rudi just collapsing after his 80 odd.

I thought it was the bowling for you which took it away from me. My Top Order hit Strong for the first time, but your bowling was just too good for nearly everyone on my team, apart from Marsden really.

My bowling got a Strong/Strong. Last season I would get Superb/Superb ratings with this very lineup on a TIE! Morale, PFL and TFL have hit my players hard. And this bowling attack is actually better than the lineup which got Superb/Superb. Folkes is Wonderful instead of Remarkable, Eli nearly Remarkable instead of Superb. Both with more consistency too.

Still good enough to beat me. Good to get a close game to end with I guess. Good luck with the new team.

I suppose I should get the Championship points since you are leaving :p
