Commonwealth Bank Series Feb-Mar 2011/12

Haha, was hoping Dave would finish like that after the dropped catch. Just another day out for Huss :p

Again, rain spoils all the good momentum that was built up by India. Started off as an ODI match, ended up like a T20 innings. When we came out after the rain, Vinay and Praveen (our best bowlers) had already bowled a major chunk of their overs and were allowed to bowl only 3 more overs between them in the remaining 21 overs that we bowled. And the spinners bowling with the wet ball got more disadvantage. Jadeja and Ashwin both were completely off colour today, more so due to wet conditions. Only Rahul Sharma looked OK.

It would be a great win if we win this. But right now, Australia on the front seat. And India's target is going to be revised (for India's worse) when we come out. The rain curse looks to be following this all throughout.

Superb knock by Dave Hussey and good supporting role by Christian. Christian's bowling will be useful today.

Jeez, over a third of our overs played like a proper ODI, and no adjustment made. Luckily Wade hit that 6 and 4 just before the break, or we might've lost runs :lol

How is the D/L method not adding any runs to the target fair? Australia batted the first 11 overs of their innings under the assumption they would have to bat the full 50 overs and thus they wouldn't have been as attacking as they would be had they known it would be a 32 over-a-side game from the start, yet India get that very benefit of knowing their 10 wickets only have to last across 32 overs?

Apparently 2 wickets = no added runs, which is bs. Starc reminding me of a certain left armed quick we used to have.

I figured the target would be 219; but the calculations use a constant called G50, if they've changed that to reflect higher scoring matches, then it might adjust by less. Even so, only 2 runs.
