Commonwealth Bank Series

Id like Voges to have a go id prefer him down the order to White

Lewis is fit and ready to play tomorrow which is a positive. I'd imagine him coming in for Tremlett would be our only change, although I guess Plunkett could be up for the drop, although with wickets and runs that would be unfair. Although Dalrymple needs to pull his finger out in my view.

Joyce
Loye
Bell
Strauss
Collingwood
Flintoff
Dalrymple
Nixon
Plunkett
Lewis
Panesar

I'd imagine.

JD averages 9.66 with the bat and 114 with the ball. He's bowled 21 overs in 6 games, only Plunkett has a higher economy. Only Collingwood of the recognised batsman have a lower Strike rate.

I'm really trying to find the reason for why he is in the team.

Talk about a specialist fielder wait something is wrong

Don't get me onto our fielding Griffo.

If Moody comes in hopefully he'll bring Penney with him.

Not only has our fielding been shocking, where the fielders have been placed has also been shocking.

Well every player has been a dissapointment one way or another it has been a nightmare for you pommie *******s :P sorry i had to but there is light at the end of the tunnel there was an article on some english players who have been dumped and if fletcher doesnt bring them in during the world cup moody or whoever takes control can use some of these players

The England A team thats going on tour would do better than this team. and no i'm not just saying this because Broads in it. also Tremlett is the worst fielder ever. he's worse than monty!

I'd rather see any player in the squad in instead of him at the moment. Mahmood would be a left field selection instead of JD, but if Plunkett and Nixon can top the batting up then it may be worth a go. 5 Specialist bowlers would also be our best chance of restricting the opposition to a total that our batsmen can chase.

Pietersen worries me as well with the World Cup ahead. He scored 3 centuries against South Africa in his second series, but hasn't scored one since. Fair enough he's had a couple of low 90's not out, but he needs to convert for me. Trescothick is a huge miss as he's probably the best ODI Batsman we've produced. Especially the best in the last 10 years or so.

Aye, so many things are wrong. Including Harmisons retirement, tbh with his attitude and poor form in the last 18 months I'd drop him. Someone with his attitude shouldn't be near the team imo.

I don't blame Harmison. Too much pressure was put on him and as soon as England fail he's the first guy that is blamed. They were going to drop him from this series just to prove a point and look where it's gotten us. He'd be in this team easily if our selectors had any sense as he's certainly a lot better than Tremlett at this period in time, yet they decide to drop him so Harmison said screw them, and retired. I don't blame him for that.

I'd like Harmison to focus all of his bowling on Test match cricket anyway. It's what he's always been better at.

in that interview sky did with him he did come across as a bit lazy tbh. but he was looking really good by the end of the series
