No, you need GI3 only if you want to create GI zip format for the config files.

I think I'm struggling with something silly. I load the config editor and open my gob file, but the readme/instructions are still there. I can't see any of the values I want to edit.

What am I doing wrong? Where is the original config file that I'm trying to edit?

You need to change them using the tab at the top.

Change what? with what tab???

There is Import and Export AI tabs, but I have nothing to import or export.

The only other tabs are File, Edit, Tools and Help

Do you get any error messages? also can you post screenshot ?

No error messages, the editor runs ok. I just don't know how to get from opening it, to getting the numbers that I want to edit, into the editor.

when i tried to downolad some of the essential files required to run u'r config editor 3 it shows this message

"the requested URL /prakash/richtx32.exe. was not found on this server"

and even somemore stuff is also displayed

wht shud i do now?

The tree shows all the screens in the game and how they are made up.
E.g. 0 = main menu
Thus you can edit them with the config editor to change the colours, insert pics, change tour names etc

to get the required files to work u need to delete the full stop off the end of the web address
