The divisions for the following county season have just been announced. Also their is a description fo who go in favourites and who will be fighting relegation. Then it is go time and we are ready to start this story!

FAVOURITES - GLAMORGAN and LANCASHIRE
The pundits agree that astonishingly after the busy transfer period Glamorgan the usual relegation certainties are now the LV County Championship Division 1 Favourites after signing the likes of Matthew Hayden, Michael Clarke, Inzamam and Andrew Symonds. However they will face challenges from a number of teams including Lancashire who have signed Sanith Jayasuriya and Jeetan Patel to help their squad improve. Others likely to challenge are Kent, Middlesex and Nottignhamshire.

STRUGGLERS - DURHAM and SURREY
The pre season favourites to get relegated are either Surrey or Durham with both teams losing key players over the transfer period. Durham have lost some good batsman but have bolstered their bowling line up with Ryan Sidebottom and Danile Vettori which may save them. Surrey on the other hand have signed two plauers in Sarwan and Chanderpaul but have lost Mark Butcher and Mark Ramprakash two of their veterans. They have failed to sign a frontline bowler and they are predicted to go down ahead of Durham. However this may all change over the course of the season.

FAVOURITES - HAMPSHIRE and ESSEX
The favourites to go up to the LV County CHampionship Division one are Essex and Hampshire. Both have strengthened their teams well. Essex have kept most of their players and added two overseas players in Nathan Astle and Ashwell Prince while Hampshire have been busier in signing more than five players including Stuart MacGill, Graeme Smith and Sachin Tendulkar. It should be very interesting to see who wins this division.

STRUGGLERS - NORTHAMPTONSHIRE and GLOUCESTERSHIRE
The favourites to finish bottom of the pile in Division 2 are Northants who have signed some players but they still have a far inferior squad to many other teams in the division. Mailnga, Agarkar and Murali could work their magic and save the team from relegation though. The concern is in the batting department. If Northants do overcome their problems it is likely to be Gloucestershire that finish last. This again could be avoided with the likes of Gilchrist and De Villiers in the squad. However you would have to say they look good for one day cricket.

FAVOURITE TO WIN DIVISION: Hampshire
PLAYER TO WATCH: Kevin Pietersen

Pietersen will look to help his side win the division and he certainly has the capabilities to do so. The likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Graeme Smith will help with the batting while Shane Warne works his magic alongside MacGill and Tremlett from the bowling side of things. Other teams to watch are Essex and Lancashire.

FAVOURITE TO WIN DIVISION: Sussex
PLAYER TO WATCH: Shoaib Akhtar

The lightning quick Pakistani will look to rip through his opponents and put Sussex in the C & G Final and he will be aided by Sehwag, Jayawardene and Mushtaq Ahmed along the way. Yardy and Murray Goodwin are also pinch hitters and can score serious runs in one day cricket. Watch out for Sussex as well as Glamorgan and Kent as well.

How are Leicester a surprise for twenty20? We are the best twenty20 team ever.

You missed out Cam White for likely six hitters! He was top six hitter last season and holds the world record for highest score...

And Dravid certainly hits more sixes than Jaya. After all, all that guy did was hit his first ball in international cricket for a six...:p ;)

thansk for the comments guys just letting you know there won't be any updates because i am go karting sat and sunday but i will announce the first two matches and expect the managers to name their teams for them. Read my other story teh journey of international teams as well if you want to see the format that this will likely be done in
