It's a game on cricket 07. It aint gunna make much difference wether you have 5 quality overseas or 2 quality overseas. Just look at it this way, it's gunna be more of a challenge and a bigger acomplishment if you win.

REPORT:
Kent were impressive in their first innings as they built a very good first innings total. They overcame swing and seam movement at the beginning but as the day went on they became more and more confident.

The openers Fulton and Walker proved that they should have been picked by scoring 151 and 159 respectively. The player who particularly caught the eye was Walker who played some cracking shots and hit all bowlers to the boundary. However because of the relatively slow run rate Rob Key decided to declare rather early at 360/1. Middlesex now had to build a huge lead and attempt to bowl Kent out cheaply in the second innings.

REPORT
Middlesex did everything they could to build a big lead but they were eventually all out for 545. They had a decent partnership between the openers but the real partnership which gave them hope was between Kallis and Owais Shah. They put on 183 for the third wicket. Joyce and Dalrymple both got out in the eighties. The star man however was Owais Shah who made a century.

Middlesex had a very good innings and they lead by 185 runs so they need to make early inroads to have any chance with just a day and a half left of the game. Could Kent survive and win or would the game end in a likely draw.

REPORT
Kent played absolutely superbly again with the bat and batted out the rest of the match to earn a draw. The openers put on another big partnership with Fulton and Lara making a century and putting on a 234 unbroken partnership. They decided against having a go at Middlesex and were content with an opening draw in this year's campaign.

Fulton played a very long innings scoring very slowly to secure a draw. His 134 came off 354 balls with just six fours. This was in great contrast to Brian Lara who made the other century in the innings.

The man of the match award went to the Kent opener David Fulton who scored two centuries in the match. He played an innings of 134 not out in the second innings and 151 not out in the first innings. That means that he scored an amazing 285 runs in the match without being dismissed. Overall the batsman dominated in the match and both teams deserved something out of the game so a draw was the right result.

KENT: 11 points
MIDDLESEX: 9 points

First thing I have to say is fantastic presentation. The scorecards look great and especially the bit below what the batsman scored. Very good text between also.

A big scoring game expected on a hard pitch. Fulton was sublime, Walker made 2 important scores and Lara was not out twice. Middlesex got scores all the way down. Overall a cracking batting game...

Wow! great presentation, cant wait for some more matches to get underway.

Personally, I expected Kent to smash them with McGrath and Lara in the same team!
