Cricket 19 General Discussion

I think it looks pretty good.

The top of his head does look a fraction long. Although it might just be the hair.

I do love the new little touches to uniforms though. Shows some real attention to detail. The undershirt here is a nice touch.

Yep, that and Root's collar are the sort of thing that give a little variety and character. Hope they're options for academy creations too.

Maybe they'll include those sports bras fast bowlers seem to wear these days too.

Things to look into
Cricket 19
The negitives of ashes 18

I love classic controls but standard control needs a fix to spin red balls coming it its faulty does not connect.

1.Players
A.Height and weight should be locked, if not skills.
As in online game people increase height till 220 cm or increase them in online matches should not be allowed

2.BATTING
A.Batting close in spin bowling with keeper back the head of the keeper blocks the vision of the ball.
Online matches when keepers are send back in spin.
B.Pitch marker not accurate specially to swinging deliveries for blue and yellow balls.
C.Sweeps shots overpowered ashes 19 should have good balance.
D.Front foot shots on red balls is a must.
Acording to the height of the ball.
3.BOWLING
A.There should be a limit of edit allowed for bowlers.
People making bowling speed 0 for should be a lock at 50 example.

4.FIELDING
A.Random dropped catches all sitters too manny in one match with weird animations.
B.Sliding fielding in boundry line needs a look.
C.Presets field not working when we set it for all forms its working only in 5 over game.
D.Wicket keepers
Offline super human catches every thing even forth slip.
Online keeper up to spin misses everything.
Keepers dont gathers throws sometime stand still and day dream.
E.Closing fielders are super human needs a fix.
When set the fielder up in ring the sometime walk into the pitch the closing fielders.

Training mode
While selecting a bowler to ball particular delivery the bowler keeps bowling random balls needs a fix.

ONLINE few general issues.
1. Suddenly changing footwork with classic controls front foot to back foot to red balls there is a disconnection in online matches.

2.Sometimes wicket counted as 2
In online matches .
For example in 30 for 2 third wicket falls
It shows 30/4.
Needs a fix

5.Dancing batsman resulting stumping and runouts.
Fielders also dance a lot just before the catch.
Online.

6.Online add normalize skills displayed yes or no like enforced classic which is displayed so the the other Player can see who joins the host.

7.Cant change bowler and field during a online match sometimes and sometimes it's not possible even after save and exit.
After Save and exit pitch resets.

8.Super over needs a fix
Team bowling first in super over cannot set more than 2 fielders outside the circle.
Team bowling second easily able to set fielders outside circle.

9.Ball speed 160 km easy every time to deliver should be made difficult.

10.Run out issue batsman stops sometimes while completing the run and does not dive after input pressed also. (Online)

# 8 runs counted for a boundry still exists needs a look into

Also will like to add regarding movement on creaze for the batsman.
Movement should be allowed but to a limit 1 to 2 steps either side off and leg also toward front.
As standing on 7 th stump toward offside is unrealistic before even the bowler starts runup.
So i feel cricket 19 should have limited movement for batsman may be 1 step and 2 babby steps should be fine either side.
That to should be allowed after the bowler starts runup.
Aslo as its very easy to time if you stand 3 steps down the line should be restricted.
Even playing Ai if i stand on 7 th stump Ai is helpless with his bowling either he bowl wide or goes for boundaries movement should be there but a bit limited.

.Front foot shots on red balls is a must.Acording to the height of the ball. just like dbc 14 and 17

this thing is mising in ashes 17 ...

and the opposite, you cannot play a backfoot cut shot if the ball doesnt bounce exactly at the right height...

How can you limit the height of players on a game that is 95% dependent upon custom content? You could make online play only have licensed teams but I doubt people would like that. Or you could make online game only use on-disk players with original appearances and skills but given that those things in Ashes were wildly inconsistent, if the same was to be the case in C19, I don't know if people would be happy with that either. And is Mohammad Irfan not allowed to play?

The same goes for limiting the number of changes to bowlers. I suppose there could be a 'track changes' that records alterations from an on-disk player to an edited player. But how many changes should be allowed? Is increasing by 1 skill point considered one change? Would a change register for every editing session even if you just increased one skill by one point?

While I don't use the aerial marker I've never had a problem playing front foot shots - pulls at least on short balls. Maybe you need to adjust the player height in order to be able to play them. If a player is too small/too tall the range of playing the shot is going to be limited because of the mo-cap. Maybe this will be changed in C19.

Mattw has said that fielding has been worked on, with added motion capture work. So in terms of dropped catches and fielding in general, hopefully these will be a things of the past.

A lot of the problems seems to be not with the game but with the people you play against. That's a part of online gaming in general. Players don't play the way you play, or the way you want them to play or expect them to play. Some people want realism, some people want to win at all costs, some people want to have fun. People are dicks.

It seems like the best way to go for a game like this is to find people who feel the same way as you and create your own community of players based on certain rules and principles. If it's a success people will want to join and want to adhere to those rules. If they don't, you can kick them out.

Simple can you increase the height of warner or smith.
In cummunity there are hundred smith but you cant increase height of any smiths.
Custom players can be created and increased height to 500 cm we dont mind.
As that will be cencered.

How can kohli be 220 cm in community that what i mean.

The square drive in Ashes was far too easy when bowling outside off and it’s the go to shot for many. To make is worse AI leaves the point position open.

With more robust and improved Match engine, hopefully Cricket 19 addresses this.
