Cricket 19 General Discussion

Just had one of my best play sessions.

Yesterday I dismissed the AI for 203 on a grassy/dry pitch in rain affected conditions, and faced one over before the close.

So this evening I resumed at start of 2nd day, which is delayed due to rain. I lose 2 early wickets and then build a nice partnership... AI goes around the wicket with a short leg, banging them in and what do to know I actually glove one to short leg!

Then I have a mini-collapse losing another wicket next ball and one in the next over - 3 wickets without a run.

Another partnership gets me back on track. No collapses, I get my first century in cricket 19 (thank you Darren Berry) and get to 250.

What’s brilliant is I saw the effect of the outfield drying out - very few 4s at the start of Berry’s innings, plenty later.

AI has about 12 overs before the close, take 1 wicket, drop 2, and a few edges short or in the gap.

3rd morning they are batting nicely. I get one wicket to a nice caught behind, but Shipperd paces 50, then 60 and looking solid... I take a leaf out of the AIs book, so change the field a bit and go around the wicket, sure enough he fends it and it’s smartly taken at slip.

About 1hr into day 3, rain and cloud still around but not forced us off. AI 60-odd ahead 3 down, game very nicely poised!

A fantastic, tough, realistic and very fun session!

Sounds great.. Can you share a video??

For Ashes Cricket @MattW use to update here with patch notes in a thread whenever a patch is released, there used to be some discussion as well. But for Cricket 19 no such updates. Why is it so ??

The update notes are on twitter. They are on facebook. On PS4 if you click the "option" button then "update history" they are there. Im sure there is something similar on other platforms.

In other words: people who complain they cant find the patch notes - have a flipping women's look.

It’s not that I asked where is the patch notes, why BA doesn’t update here like they used to do it in the last version?
Not that they have to update here, but felt BA was more interactive here than in their own website forum.

Presently, shots down the ground seem to be under-powered compared to those square of the wicket. Is this just my imagination? Has someone else noticed this?

Also, any word on PC release? I don't think community additions will really start going until then[DOUBLEPOST=1560832300][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, was under the impression that there might be helmet/hat off celebration after centuries. Apparently, that's not the case.

yes straight shots are stuffed has been since dbc17.... seems like there is something fundementally wrong with the physics, the ball travels in a wrong loop it goes too high.... also when the ball is played LATE it should NEVER loop up for a catch to a nearby fielder, are you crazy??? played LATE should ALWAYS be a bump ball into the pitch for crying out loud -- basic physics?!!?

I might not be remembering correctly but at least cover drives were pretty ok in terms of power in Ashes, no?

Furthermore, it seems leg side shots have again regressed for some reason. That nice lofted shot over mid on/midwicket seems to missing. At lease I haven't been able to trigger it personally. There appears to be a kind of a flick shot there for now.

Incorrect. There are videos of celebrations with the helmet removed

Thank you for the input. I wasn't making a criticism just an observation for me so far. I haven't seen them in career mode yet. Perhaps they are exclusive to only a few players? Were these videos for specific players? If anyone has seen them in career mode please to chime in.

What sliders and settings mate?
Thankyou

AI base legend, timing, run rate and bowl quality all increased - to 65 I think

Bowling hard, think the only thing I changed was increase line sensitivity, I think to 90

Batting medium, increased several things such as timing, foot placement, bowl influence all a bit but still closer to medium than hard.

Physics default except ball bounce at 40
