Into the second session of day 1 at the moment and Steyn has got Vijay who looked settled with an inswinger that was chopped onto the stumps by the latter. Since then however, it has been a smooth ride with Rayudu and Faf both scoring 50s and a couple of close shaves with the ball dropping just short of fielders and a run-out chance.

Increasing the spin values to 60 as suggested previously has been of immense value personally, playing spin is indeed a tougher job now with Mo bowling an 80 kph floater followed by a quicker one that had me timing it late.

Not sure if the lack of overs bowled by the all-rounders has been rectified as I've had the RCB pacers bowl more overs so far despite it being a dusty pitch with heavy cracks. Is it because of Sundar and Mo being bowling all-rounders? Sundar himself came into the attack well beyond the 20th over if I remember correctly, a few overs before lunch.

I haven't had this issue with the T20s previously, but fielders seem to behave erratically sometimes. To be more precise, they seem to pirouette around the ball before picking it up. Sometimes, they roll the ball with what I can only presume to be the shoes, forcing them to move further to retrieve it. This seems most common after a defensive stroke with the bowler, but I've seen it with ring fielders too. This seems to happen when the ball is slowing down or is dead. Despite being funny, it does allow me to steal a run or two on occasions I would have had no chance without this weird movement. Does anyone else have this?

Overthrows also seem to be a bit frequent, half of my boundaries have come from them. I don't think this should be happening in a test match quite often where the urgency is a lot lesser compared to a T20. This could be due to me running aggressively to be fair. Will check if that is the case in the next session.

Overall though, I'm pleased with the match so far. There has been a difference between batting with Rayudu and Faf (could just be me roleplaying deeply again :p) and while the spinners have been fairly challenging and have gotten me playing it a bit late far too often, Sundar and Mo aren't the top class spinners that you would worry about. Will be interesting to see how Jadeja performs when I bat with RCB.

Yeah, see that a lot. Can almost always steal a single with a block and run when bowler just casually runs behind the ball in a circle then slowly goes to pick it. Overthrows also happen quite a bit. Even my own fielders just throw wildly, and they aren't even throwing at the stumps.

Unfortunately fielding is a major downside in this game , guess we're stuck with it.

Off topic..there was a EA cricket game in the works.
My theory regarding this is it was in the year 2010 & 11 EA ....actually went onto release mobile games back in 2010 (for Older Java & Symbian) phones I remember playing those on my phone.

So maybe there was pc or Console version EA planning to target the 2011 WC which never really went off.

So, now is there really a way/option that could enable us to understand the swing? Because when I think the ball is going to be an inswinger, it turns out to be an outswing delivery, and my batsman does some magic trick - I don't know how else I can express this, lol - and hits the ball towards one direction and the ball travels in the opposite direction. this is a frustrating glitch, really. plz help me solve this. I need to understand which way ball is going to swing.

Anyone can help me out here? Or do I have to wait for an update for this? How can the devs miss such an important thing in the settings?

There is no settings or markers in-game to indicate which way the ball is going to swing or spin.

that's sad[DOUBLEPOST=1586593368][/DOUBLEPOST]it really looks bad when the batter is drives one through the covers and the ball goes to the leg side

I disagree, the ball marker does show which direction the ball will move with that side being more opaque before the ball is delivered.

Yes you can. There are two options in Career Mode. One is Star Player, where I believe you start at international level with the current (as of the date of the release of the game) team. The other mode is Rookie mode where you start at club level (with randomly generated players) and work you way up to First Class cricket and ultimately International. This latter mode takes place over many seasons, so it makes sense that by the time you get to International level some of the current players have retired and have been replaced by players generated by the game. That's why you will see players that are not recognised cricket players appear over time. For instance, in my cricket career England international team I have random players who have no real place in cricket like Tymoteusz Anderson, Darsh Suarez and Keaton Jennings.

Bro, Tymoteusz Anderson is a sub-continent specialist.

I am assuming you are either playing on amateur or rookie, or with shot replacement on.

this is a terrible feature that apparently helps players get better by having the batsmen do something that bears no relation to the input...

If you go into the difficulty settings and create a custom difficulty that matches your current setting but with shot replacement off

The ball marker only indicates the line of the ball. Not the way it will swing or spin. Unless there is another ball marker which is missing in my version.
