Cricket 19 General Discussion

A random one, but how do you set the crowd sounds to the peaceful Alan Border Oval sound? Is it a setting I have missed in the stadium creator? Is it linked to how many stands are built or something?

I'd rather have the peaceful birds chipring noises for a small ground like Dublin

I don't know for sure, but on Ashes when i had small grounds you could hear a pin drop. So I suspect it is linked to stand size and how many people are there.

So I love this game and have got a lot out of it but I’m playing a Test match where I made 236 (I’m on hardest difficulty) having been 75-6 with a custom Test nation against/in Australia. They reached 198 before I took a wicket and I fought back to limit them to 278-5 I think. Both fight backs, particularly with the ball were the most thrilling action on this game that I’ve had but... I actually dropped four catches during their opening stand that the fielding circle didn’t come up for. Even the first catch deflected off the wicketkeeper before I was able to catch it at slip... and I took a wicket caught at slip at the end of the day that wasn’t given. Lack of fielding effort is getting a bit tiresome too.

It’s nothing to do with my settings and is so inconsistent. I might normally have one/two a game and even take a catch or two without any input but why drop four consecutive catches off my bowling without any input then suddenly let me start catching them?!

The game’s being thrilling but I could’ve been a lot more in the contest.

Why does it sometimes show square not X to catch as well even though it does still seem to catch it when you press X not square?

I think if the ball travels too quckly the catching circle doesn't come up. No idea if that's the cause, but it feels that way when I've had it happen.

Can anyone tell me if there is any way to override/set ground in a competition, or is this possible only during a tour?

Hey

Just inquiring if anyone is managing to still have outfield catches and the A.I. having the power to actually hit sixes in one day cricket? Or was this patched out in the last patch and if so why?

Getting outfield catches in ashes mode im currently playing... and sixes by AI

Argh! How? With AI batsmen you mean?

I think it's got something to do with pitch size..... So much difference between playing at Alan Border field and a large custom ground...

I haven't played this in about 2 months. Partly because I moved onto other games but also as I was getting annoyed with how easy it was to score runs with these issues:

1) no AI fielders on the leg side
2) AI fielders having a shy at the stumps when it looks like you might run, they then miss and it goes for 4
3) how overpowered the aggressive ground shot is.
4) with bowling, having more of a variety of dismissals rather than bowled, lbw or caught wicketkeeper

Have these been solved at all or even made slightly better?

2) Surely not a gamebreaker?
3) Tweak sliders, shot power (I think)
4) No problem in limited overs cricket, sucks if you are having a career playthrough though.

There hasn't been a patch recently

Somewhat unrelated to recent discussions but I thought this was amazing, I just got two caught and bowled wickets - in a row (in career mode.) Couldn't believe it lol.

This was one thing I loved in my old C19 Career Mode, though since I started my new career as a spinner, since then nothing. Though it did tease as it went past my head for some tuns.

Anybody had many catches at gully? Just had one,I'm sure it's the first I've had.

I get quite a few actually in career mode. I reckon 80% of my wickets are caught behind, slips or gully. The occasional bowled and lbw.
