Cricket 19 General Discussion

Cheers. Have upped bowl quality for now, seems to have improved but if it happens again I’ll lower the drift.

I like keeping physics same for me and AI, and AI only seem to come down the track to spinners with the higher drift!

Yeah I have bowl quality at 80, no wonder I'm getting spanked :lol

Will Big Ant release a new game in 2021? Just like they released Ashes Cricket 17 before the 2017 series?

No, there will never be another cricket game ever made. Ever.

Has anyone ever clean bowled a right hander with a left hander over the wicket (I think @blockerdave might have actually shared one today)? I'm thinking of swinging it back in, think Starc got Shaw that way the other day. Although looking at that dismisal Shaw is quite a way across but has a more open stance. Of course using a batsman who has been horrendously bowled twice in a match isn't a great example but I usually end up feeling it's futile to even attempt it.

The AI is taking a guard outside off stump which means if they get hit on the pad the stride usually takes them outside off stump and if not most deliveries on the stumps will be worked to the legside.

It's why I always feel like I'm bowling to Steve Smith.

I have literally just got a beauty of an LBW with Boult to Kamau Leverock, a left-hander. I'm playing a 3-day match NZ v Bermuda which I've just finished. Hoping for a very even contest.

To answer my own question, I did just get one to seam back in with Neil Wagner to a right-hander. LBW, very satisfying. I missed the Big Eye though, so it might have been missing the stumps.

Mine was a right arm bowler to left hand batsman. Very satisfying, pitched on/outside leg stump line, if went on with the arm would be down leg, batsman played leg glance but seamed to straighten and take top of leg stump.

I’ve found seaming (“standard”) deliveries on pitches with some grass give the most satisfying bowled dismissals.

Yeah, I'm trying to replicate the pitches I've seen in New Zealand over the last few weeks where you can barely see the difference between the wicket and outfield. Grassy/Hard. Bounce might be a wee bit too much at times off a good length but I feel like if I went to Medium it'd be constant grubbers. Had some good wickets. 3 to Keeper, 3 to slips, 3 lbw and a bowled. Get some nice movement off the pitch. Generally speaking I think the AI can't deal with movement off the pitch, one of the reasons spin is so effective.

tailenderrecovery.exe was triggered (as seems to happen every time I play a test match).

The best and most satisfying wicket I ever had in any BA cricket game was shortly after release in DBC17.

Playing a rebel tour one of the the tour matches, right armer to left hander, bowled a series of out swingers pitching on middle stump moving away, then went really wide on the crease and bowled a huge off cutter pitching off and cutting through the gate taking middle and off. An absolute dream dismissal.

A few short months later BA patched AI bowleds right out of the game!!
