Cricket 22 General Discussion thread (Use bug report thread for issues/bugs/crashes | Patch notes in first post)

Finally caved in and started career mode. Ended up getting an offer for the PSL (chose Lahore Qalandars). Looked at the squad for LQ and the custom version of Mohammad Hafeez that I downloaded from @AJ MODS was the one featured in career mode. Also had 2 Haris Raufs. One of them was the dreaded licensed version and the other one from @AJ MODS. Looked at my player list and I did not add the @AJ MODS Haris Rauf to the Lahore Qalandars squad manually, but he still showed up in career mode. That's nice.
All in all so far, custom versions of licensed players downloaded from the academy do show up in career mode, but need to go through further testing with this, especially with the BBL and Sheffield Shield.

Here's hoping. But I have low expectations. I believe Matt said that it would be difficult to implement the 2 new franchises in career mode, but if BA add it in game and in the IPL in competition mode, I'd be satisfied with it. Although, they might have to change the competition mode of the IPL to work according to the 2011 format with 2 groups.

I wanted to put together a little clip package of 10 overs worth of AI v AI that I watched play out earlier today. I figured it was the easiest way to see how the AI would play with bat and ball with the new patch, so I removed myself from the game play.

In short, it was awesome. It looked great, loads happened, it was balanced, hence I decided to put a short video together on it.

PlayStation4 EU 2060 build, came out this week
Reskilled teams, I can point people in the direction of how it's done if they're interested.
V3 sliders, with a pitch and away team modifier, plus RR set to 45

With a RR of 2.8 and two wickets going down, it was a really nice balance between the two sides on a day 3 pitch that was never great to begin with.

The AI batters left balls alone, they defended when needed, they made mistakes as well.

When a new batter came in they were smart to leave early, nudge it into gaps and rotate the strike when needed, overall it just looked like Test cricket.

The two wickets are both really nice. They were off the spinner but nothing to do with bat/pad, which was refreshing!

Overall I'm pretty impressed with this build, though I do want to test the RR and how it plays a little longer before I'm ready to commit to throwing a new slider spreadsheet out.

Hope you guys are all enjoying the build as much as I did today! @WealeyH

Said it was golden as soon as got my hands on it.

The guys at BA listen.

The game was a shit show on release and I was first to slate it but they listen and genuinely care about their titles.

Next step.. getting the AI coming down the track… ;)

Beautiful gameplay. Couple of questions for you. What camera angle are you using please and regarding the re skilling of teams would you advise it ? Does it make a huge difference ? Thanks for your help been using your sliders for different countries and still lots to get my head around as pretty new to the BA cricket game I enjoyed the game from day 1 but the difference in gameplay etc now is night and day it’s like a whole new game.

Camera angle I'll check when I'm on later, don't want to guess so I'll check for sure.

@WealeyH suggests reskilling is no longer needed. I did it for that video as I had already done it and was mid-game when this patch dropped.

I like the reduced AI judgement, think that brings a lot to the table but I've not played the latest patch with "regular" players, Wealey has suggested they also make mistakes so you may be fine playing the game without it.

For reference, if you do want to do it, those batters have had their judgement and power reduced to level 8, and then 2 levels have been taken off every batting specific shot/skill. Normally I'd be controlling them, so it was interesting to see how the AI did with them.

I've not changed any bowling skills, perks or proficiencies.

The other day Wagner played and missed at four deliveries in a row I wouldn’t of got them previously without re skilling!

Much appreciated. Love the mistakes and near misses adds so much authenticity to the game especially in tests The AI felt very one dimensional at the beginning but it’s beginning to feel as real as it can be Cheers
