Cricket 22 General Discussion thread (Use bug report thread for issues/bugs/crashes | Patch notes in first post)

Can you tell me how many levels we can reach in career mode in Cricket 22??? I remember Cricket 19 only had 50 levels. And it use to suck after u reach 50 levels. Please let me know. So helpful in making a decision to buy Cricket 22. !! Cheers

@WealeyH I saw you mention same sort of results depending on sliders but here has been my experience bowling full 50 over ODI, same settings, same bowlers, same field. I've gotten plenty edges and the AI still going at the same run rate of 4

Pitch Bounce: 35
Match/AI Difficulty: Hardest/Legend
AI Timing: 20
AI Run Rate: 20

Game 1: 144/10
Game 2: 207/10
Game 3: 255/5
Game 4: 158/10

What have your results been like? This seems to be some variation I guess would need to see if they can make a score above 300. I may resort to my old tricks of leaving blatant gaps in the field for the AI to score I had to do this in all the other games including DBC14
I played couple of games with AI strike rate/run rate 100, hardest/legend, BQ 100, pitch bounce 40…
AI scored 331/4 in 50 ov & 256/7 in 30 ov

This what I had to do in all the years I produced patches for cricket games. Most aggressive/attacking fields had one fielder on the boundary (excluding fine/deep square leg) to give the AI a release value single from time to time
Until AI behaviour is remodelled this will continue to be the norm ?

100%

Updated with Patch 1.12 for PS4. Improvement is there in terms of stability. AI fielding has been improved a lot but I think it has gone too fast now. Also batting animations felt a change and has gone way quick. Overall, good experience. Did a gameplay video to showcase the performance.

Ah so more people are doing it than I thought, but yes I believe it will be the norm. I used to have quite a few slips in for an ODI and I think I'd have a guy at point/backward point and a mid on/off with a decent size gap for off and legside and a sweeper on each side so they can collect the 1s, 2s & 3s.

Even with some of the best patches including AbBh exe and francos patch for 14 I had to do this but I got really varied results, each game felt significantly different. I just hope 22 isn't so scripted that even if you leave gaps it'll go to the one fielder on the offside until they need to hit their one boundary for the over.

After the recent patch in PS4 many things have improved but again frame rates in night matches are still there. I will share the video to Big Ant's support team.

In another video which I will share soon, I have seen the stadium screen also lags I guess due to frame rate issue only..
