I was really really bored..
Tournament Editor
I think Ross and his team were intended to include Tournament Editor in previous update but somehow changed the plan and were too lazy to remove the variables. Anyways here it goes...oh nevermind. Ross said they will release it in next update so I will leave it as a surprise. Hint: You're again going to amaze by its depth.

Don't leave it unsaid mate, please reveal it, can't wait for another 2 days....:thumbs
I don't have the latest update, otherwise I'd have tried my hand too....
:cheers

Training nets before the game release?! Awesome!

well thats good . Really waiting to see its gameplay. Any trailer?

guys quick question, I saw the gameplay mentioning IPL, surely this is a possibility of IPL license in the game, right?

No!! Though we may have unlicensed domestic teams and grounds!

There is always a possibility but in this case it is improbable. Unlikely to be added given the high price it will cost to acquire the license for it, almost as much as getting a license for a big football/soccer tournament.

Always had this question on licenses. How is it that studios developing games for smartphones can afford the licenses? If you check the App Store or Play Store, you will find officially licensed games based on IPL, Champions Trophy etc.

To Ross: Don't know if you would know, but is it possible that license holders charge a different price depending on the platform (making the licensing cost for a mobile game significantly cheaper than a PC/Console game)?

Those work differently. I believe the license holder (BCCI) themselves reach out to small time developers and HIRES them to make a game based on only their own product (so probably you can only play ipl and nothing else in it). And the money earned probably goes to BCB mostly rather than the developers

In big ant's case its the opposite since they have to reach out to the board to get the license and the board then SELLS the license to them.

Have you played Stick Cricket? It has International Cricket plus an extra IPL mode in another separate game. It is called SPL (Stick Premier League) but they use the original name of the players. I don't know how this works really.:mad

Just because others get away with something doesn't mean we will :)

We have to be a little more conservative.

Also, I believe, they wont have as much to lose as you guys, being a bigger brand and all.

I think once the game releases and people download the awesome squads created by some geniuses here, they would realize how over rated licenses are :p! I am just a bit worried about the commentary names, as the ones in the CA dont really cover everyone. But thats just a minor concern.

From your comment, you seem to imply that they (the studio developing games) do not actually hold a license. However, this is most likely incorrect since they (Reliance Games) are one of the biggest brands in India and BCCI would not take it lightly if someone as big as Reliance would use their name/licenses for free.
