Wait, which bit were you adding in the next update. The automatic go upstairs for catches or feint edges and stuff like that or both?

I'm actually not sure about height no balls, I don't think so as it is always touch and go with batsman moving and stuff.

And I just use the default resolution so I don't know.

haha, when I change it, it comes up with that screen you just showed but then just quit out of the game from the main menu and open it up again and it works fine in the new resolution.

I'd like to add all of it in one go...provided I have time...

You need to work on the simulation speed. It takes forever to simulate a test. The simulation is a lot better though.

After 86.2 overs, Australia are 260/5 (all simulated, I actually just played this new match to simulate a test)

Watson b. Morkel 30 (67) 2 4's, 1 6
Katich c. +de Villiers b. Morkel 93 (184) 12 4's, 1 6
Ponting run out (Smith) 20 (25) 3 4's, 1 6
Ferguson not out 34 (99) 4 4's
Haddin c +de Villiers b. Kallis 5 (22)
North not out 0 (4)

Bowling:

Steyn - 20-6-44-0
Ntini - 21-0-67-0
Kallis - 15-2-36-1
Morkel - 15-1-40-3
Harris - 15.2-1-71-0

yeah, it's only into Australia's second innings now. Australia ended up making 290 odd and South Africa made like 250.

Cool, I'll see what I can do to make it faster. Also, the results might look a little funny because I haven't taken into account yet the fact that most pitches get easier to bat on from day 2 onwards.

Just tested out the simulation when you click simulate game in a series and it went a lot quicker, and was a very good game with scores of around 350 in the first innings and 320 in the second innings where England just got up in the end. The only problem with simulating a match in a series, you can't see the scorecards. It shows the match summary once the game is finished simulating but you can't see any of the scorecards and nothing in the menu allows you to see it. You can only see the statistics.

Also you might be able to see someone using your game as a test cricket simulator for a league as I agree it is the best simulator there is but for that, you'd need to make us choose the batting order for both sides and not have it change in game. And since the series/tournament simulation goes faster, then you might want it so when you click simulate, it asks you to choose both teams lineup. I even might use it as a simulator in the future.

And also, you might want to get that player editor done as well as an option to create teams so you can do tournaments with them.

So when do you reckon the player editor will be done. If you make the editor, then I could make an updated database with realistic player skills just to make your job easier. Also, I could make the domestic teams for Australia if you wanted me to (when you release the editor)

@hedger_14: Those are very kind words :) The simulation mode isn't finished yet though - there's still lots of variables I have to account for, but it's getting there. If you can wait for about a week before the next release, I might be able to finish all the changes we discussed yesterday as well the player and team editors...

Same thing happens again.Everything worked fine until 1024*768 resolution. And every time I change the resolution that screen comes up.:P
When I restarted, everything looked fine.I went on to change screen resolution.I clicked up arrow after 1024*768 resolution, a black screen appear.I waited for five odd minutes, seeing nothing happen I closed the game through task manager. And now when I click the game, nothing happens.Something needs to be solved.Isn't it?Though now I can replace the game with the update, but it gives up the error stating-"Cannot move cricket:A file with name you specified already exists.Specify a different file name"I guess its just because the game would be running but its unable to load.Isn't it?

@Meet: Hmm, that's very odd then...maybe your OpenGL driver doesn't support it for some obscure reason...do me a favour and try some other widescreen modes? You can edit the resolution in the options.cfg file in the ./data folder. You should see 2 lines near the top that read:

1366
768

By changing these 2 you can change the resolution.
