Yes, the score increase and batsman went from 0 off 1 to 1 off 2. They just didn't change. I thought Id seen it happen a couple of other times before but I thought I must have been looking at the thing wrong

Netherlands won the toss and elected to bat first

Welcome to ARG where Netherlands take on Ireland on this newest stupid format called SLOG :p

Netherlands have won the toss and elected to bat first and its obvious as you score more runs on this dead surface and put the oppositions under pressure.

T Murtagh to open the bowling innings for Ireland and an aggressive move from Netherlands means Ryan Ten opens the batting with Tom Cooper.

Code:
The new batsman is R ten Doeschate.
The new batsman is T Cooper.
The new bowler is T Murtagh.
0.1 T Murtagh to R ten Doeschate, 4, 137.00kph, Pitches and it swings in. No need to run for that. Four runs
0.2 T Murtagh to R ten Doeschate, dot, 120.47kph, Pitches on middle and it swings away. R ten Doeschate swishes at this one and misses. No run
0.3 T Murtagh to R ten Doeschate, 4, 139.56kph, Pitches and it seams in. That runs towards the boundary. Four runs
0.4 T Murtagh to R ten Doeschate, dot, 137.54kph, It swings in just off the straight. R ten Doeschate swishes at this one and misses
0.5 T Murtagh to R ten Doeschate, 4, 137.00kph, short and straight. The ball smashes into the advertising boarding now. Four
0.6 T Murtagh to R ten Doeschate, 4, 121.11kph, T Murtagh is struggling to find much pace off this surface and he finds a hint of swing from a leg stump line. Excellent timing from R ten Doeschate as he plays a cover drive. Not quite where R ten Doeschate intended it to go

* T Murtagh finishes up with a good, solid spell.
* T Murtagh  0 / 16  in 1.0 overs, 0 maidens

[ End of over 1 (16 runs) Netherlands 16 / 0 (RR: 16.00) ]

[ T Cooper 0* (0b 0x4 0x6) T Murtagh 1-0-16-0 ]
[ R ten Doeschate 16 (6b 4x4 0x6) ]

Note - It says * T Murtagh finishes up with a good, solid spell. :facepalm

Amazing first over for Netherlands as Ryan smacked 4 boundaries of Murtagh.

Trent Johnston the more experienced would bowl the second over and Tom Cooper on strike.

Code:
The new bowler is T Johnston.
1.1 T Johnston to T Cooper, dot, 127.00kph, T Johnston pushes this through at no great pace. That is an ungainly shot - T Cooper is lucky not to have edged that. No run
1.2 T Johnston to T Cooper, dot, 114.13kph, T Johnston bowls this from the back of his hand and he hits a good length just outside off. T Cooper misses it completely. No run
1.3 T Johnston to T Cooper, dot, 126.28kph, That is an ungainly shot - T Cooper is lucky not to have edged that
1.4 T Johnston to T Cooper, dot, 129.73kph, This one is military medium from T Johnston. T Cooper plays for the movement, but the ball beats the bat
1.5 T Johnston to T Cooper, dot, 127.56kph, short length just outside leg stump. Oh beaten comprehensively there. No run
1.6 T Johnston to T Cooper, dot, 120.90kph, T Johnston pushes this through at no great pace. A hint of swing in. That is an ungainly shot - T Cooper is lucky not to have edged that

* That's the end of a miserly spell from T Johnston.
* T Johnston  0 / 0  in 1.0 overs, 1 maidens

[ End of over 2 (0 runs) Netherlands 16 / 0 (RR: 8.00) ]

[ R ten Doeschate 16* (6b 4x4 0x6) T Johnston 1-1-0-0 ]
[ T Cooper 0 (6b 0x4 0x6) T Murtagh 1-0-16-0 ]

Amazing bowling there by Trent Johnston, that maiden has eased the pressure off Ireland and Netherlands are in a spot of bother as Cooper could not connect even a single delivery.

Next bowler for Ireland is A Cussack

Code:
The new bowler is A Cusack.
2.1 A Cusack to R ten Doeschate, 6, 128.06kph, No great pace there from A Cusack. A hint of swing in. Six runs! Fantastic batting
2.2 A Cusack to R ten Doeschate, dot, 110.76kph, short length on middle stump. R ten Doeschate swishes at this one and misses. No run

2.5 A Cusack to R ten Doeschate, dot, 121.00kph, R ten Doeschate is beaten all ends up. This is excellent bowling
2.6 A Cusack to R ten Doeschate, 4, 110.28kph, R ten Doeschate plays an extravagant upper cut. Glorious timing. Not quite where R ten Doeschate intended it to go

* A tad expensive from A Cusack, but a decent outing for him today.
* A Cusack  0 / 22  in 1.0 overs, 0 maidens

[ End of over 3 (22 runs) Netherlands 38 / 0 (RR: 12.67) ]

[ T Cooper 0* (6b 0x4 0x6) A Cusack 1-0-22-0 ]
[ R ten Doeschate 38 (12b 5x4 3x6) T Johnston 1-1-0-0 ]

Note - * A tad expensive from A Cusack, but a decent outing for him today. :facepalm Decent outing?

Ryan Ten Doeschate :clap take a bow young man!! Smashed A Cussack badly and scored 22 runs including 3 sixes of that over.

Next bowler in is Boyd Rankin and Tom Cooper who is under pressure has the strike.

Code:
The new bowler is B Rankin.
3.1 B Rankin to T Cooper, dot, 122.05kph, No great pace there from B Rankin. T Cooper is beaten all ends up. This is excellent bowling. No run

3.5 B Rankin to R ten Doeschate, 1, 139.36kph, full length stump. Hit straight to the fielder. R ten Doeschate trots through for the single
3.6 B Rankin to T Cooper, dot, 139.82kph, B Rankin is working up a decent pace here. A hint of swing away. Oh beaten comprehensively there

* That's the end of a miserly spell from B Rankin.
* B Rankin  0 / 2  in 1.0 overs, 0 maidens

[ End of over 4 (2 runs) Netherlands 40 / 0 (RR: 10.00) ]

[ R ten Doeschate 39* (14b 5x4 3x6) B Rankin 1-0-2-0 ]
[ T Cooper 1 (10b 0x4 0x6) A Cusack 1-0-22-0 ]

Brilliant over again from Irish. Both the experienced bowlers of Ireland went for a total of 2 runs in 2 overs :clap Tom Cooper is a culprit and has wasted 10 deliveries and has scored only 1 run.

Next up is George Dockrell, a lot has been said about him in the English domestic circuit about him. Hope he lives up to the expectations.

Code:
The new bowler is G Dockrell.
4.1 G Dockrell to R ten Doeschate, dot, 74.56kph, short length just outside leg stump. R ten Doeschate misses it completely. W Porterfield is quick to cut off the single
4.2 G Dockrell to R ten Doeschate, dot, 77.73kph, A little more pace on this one. Short length just outside leg stump. That is an ungainly shot - R ten Doeschate is lucky not to have edged that. No run
4.3 G Dockrell to R ten Doeschate, OUT (1), 70.57kph, G Dockrell gets this one to grip and turn. R ten Doeschate cuts but can't time it properly. The non-striker calls for the single but R ten Doeschate is unmoved. Run out

	T Cooper run out (T Murtagh) 1 (14m 10b 0x4 0x6) SR: 10.00

The new batsman is A Kervezee.
4.4 G Dockrell to R ten Doeschate, 4, 70.02kph, A big offie now and it grips and spins away from the batsman. Four all the way
4.5 G Dockrell to R ten Doeschate, 1, 70.00kph, G Dockrell gets this one to grip and turn. R ten Doeschate plays an extravagant drive. Glorious timing. That is an excellent call by R ten Doeschate. One run
4.6 G Dockrell to A Kervezee, 6, 71.04kph, G Dockrell tosses this one up to A Kervezee. Not finding much turn off this surface. Shouts of "catch it" but #FIELDER can only look on as the ball clears the ropes

* That's the end of a miserly spell from G Dockrell.
* G Dockrell  0 / 11  in 1.0 overs, 0 maidens

[ End of over 5 (11 runs) Netherlands 51 / 1 (RR: 10.20) ]

[ R ten Doeschate 44* (19b 6x4 3x6) G Dockrell 1-0-11-0 ]
[ A Kervezee 6 (1b 0x4 1x6) B Rankin 1-0-2-0 ]

11 runs of that over and I could say George did well. But Ryan has played an exceptional innings. If not of Cooper Netherlands should have scored 15 runs more. But 52 runs to win 5 overs is not going to be easy.

Code:
The new batsman is E Joyce.
The new batsman is K O'Brien.
The new bowler is T Heggelman.
0.1 T Heggelman to E Joyce, dot, 120.00kph, Wicket to wicket delivery. The non-striker calls for a non-existent run. E Joyce rightly sends him back

0.4 T Heggelman to K O'Brien, dot, 115.40kph, T Heggelman ambles in and floats this one up to the batsman and he maintains an off stump line. Bouncer! K O'Brien sways away and lets it go through

[ K O'Brien 23 (16b 2x4 1x6) R ten Doeschate 1-0-9-0 ]

What a finish! A nail-biter to the very end. Well played to both teams, but in the end, there can be only one winner. Netherlands will breathe a sigh of relief after today's match and will be hoping to be more authoritative in the next one. The bowlers will be pleased to move on from here. The pitch was flat as a pancake and did not offer much assistance either way. These two teams were fairly evenly matched so it was tough to predict the outcome. That being said Netherlands proved to be the stronger in the end and snatched victory.

Also why is the bowler running after ball? The two fielder should run as they are more closed right?

@rahulkhush: Hehe, those reports are based on expected run rates :) For slog matches, the expected run rate is 36 (!). Each of the commentary messages is based on a the ratio of runs scored : 36. I'll change it so it's lower :P

Also, that is indeed a bug. I'll see if I can fix that quickly.

Cool man. It was so fun playing the game. Played it on my laptop after a long time. I must say this is the most stable version for me personally.

The game still crashes when playing Test matches and Day 5 scorecards and commentary isnt saved dont know why :noway

It happened this way.

I selected Australia vs India as teams. Loaded previous squads and lineups. Was on management vs management. The game went fine for three innings. Showed me scorecard and everything perfect. Simulation started for fourth innings and was going good till 90 odd % and it crashed showing me this.

With 5 text files being created now at the end of every test match, Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 and Day 4 were created perfectly but the Day 5 text file was created but was blank and the whole innings at glance text was not created at all.

India just needed 76 runs to win on fifth day

Definitely something wrong with the lbws, playing as Afghanistan against Kenya Shenwari bowled a full toss hitting Varaiya bang in front of middle, and given not out
Umpires are the two strictest

Came after I was bowled out in the Afghanistan Kenya game. Chasing 80 I scored 8 off the first over and collapsed to 17 a.o. 3 runouts occured because the batsmen refused to turn back though, despite repeated smashing of the button

Hi guys,

for anyone who has a spare minute...another update:

- new camera angles (batsman/bowler) during career mode, press F10 to toggle it on and off
- bug fixes
- crash fixes

Cheers
K

PS it's an unofficial update and it's still WIP :)

Aaaw, man. Looks like quite a few people are having that issue. I'll see if I can fix it tonight and upload a proper patch.

@singhb: No problem, if it's easy for me to implement I'd be glad to overhaul the scorecards :)

And so the game draws to a tame conclusion with Afghanistan claiming an impressive victory by 25 runs. A solid, if unspectacular performance there by Afghanistan and they will no doubt want to build on the foundation laid today. The pitch was a bowler's graveyard and did not offer much assistance in the way of swing, seam or spin. These two teams were fairly evenly matched so it was tough to predict the outcome. That being said Afghanistan proved to be the stronger in the end and snatched victory.
