I need your help for my next league... It is going to be a 50 overs OD format one... Each team can select there own home ground, name, logo etc... Line up rule will be regular 7 local and 4 overseas...
The help I need is for categories players... So idea is, instead of having players list, I give freedom to pick there team, but catch is they have to pick players under certain budget...
So I am little confused on how to categories players... For now I am thinking categories players based on there age, experience (how many matches they played) and players playing level, like international, domestic, Int'l retired and also players played Int'l matches but not picked last 2 years or so...

You can categorise based on ICC Rankings

Just categorise them on their overall record. Current players would be higher than those that aren’t being selected currently.

Instead of preparing players list, I want to create certain rule for player's price... for example, 20
for a player who played 200+ ODI, played ODI matches in 2019-20 and aged in between 29 to 33 years... managers can pick a player who match this rule, some one like Virat Kohli and post it in league thread...So I need help to create such a rules, where managers can easily select there squad from retired to u19, Int'l player to domestic players under team budget with a ease...

If we go with overall stats, than price gap between players like Babar Azam and Virat will be big...

Something like this:
Base Price of any player: 100
Played more than 100 matches: +10
Played more than 200 matches: +20
Played more than 300 matches: +40
Batting Average more than 40: +20
Batting Average more than 50: +40
Strike Rate more than 100: +10
Player from Test Playing Nation: +15
Played in an int. match in last 3 years: +10
Age 30+ : +15
Age 35+ : +25
So,
Virat will be 200
Some other player will be costlier or cheaper based on his eligibility.
Base Price of any player: 100

Played more than 200 matches: +20
Played more than 300 matches: +40

If someone hasn’t played in 3 years, why would they be more expensive. Similarly, someone older than 35 should be cheaper.Not played in last 3 years: +10
Age 30+ : +15
Age 35+ : +25

Blimey. I meant if someone played in last 3 years then it's +10
. For +35 age, after that age, players sort of have a royalty/goodwill for their years of performance. Hence the premium.
