It is not mandatory that you need to spend entire 10 million in the auction. But the remaining cannot be used for any other purpose.

The reason for bringing this rule is to make a level playing field.
Just imagine if 9 teams have spent their money in 12 rounds. The 10th team will have a free hand in choosing players at a low price. Now I hope you understand the reasoning behind this.

I don't see it as Marketing because my view about a player is not going to be changed irrespective of what others post.
But I don't see anything wrong in this, I guess they are proud of players that they got.
