Just remembered what the answer to the Bill Frindell one was. However, its not the answer to this question. :crying That one was who has batted in every day of a test match. This one is who has batted in all 5 days to a test match. If I remember rightly the answer to Frindell's was Flintoff in Mohali in the March just gone. But that didn't go to 5 days did it?

It is not Andrew Flintoff, Geoff Boycott, or Allan Lamb, although all 3 have acheived the feat. There are two more players excluding the one I'm after who managed it. Baring in mind that I'm looking for the first man to do so, it therefore must be before 1977 at the moment
