Things are going quite well for England right now. Thorpe went past 50 the nicked off in similar fashion to Vaughan. Next man up hit 50 to, giving England a 272 run lead heading into lunch on Day 4. Considerations now being given to the declaration and how much of a lead is too much..

So. England ended up with a comfortable win in the end. Despite efforts from Afridi to win the game on his own, Darren Gough took 5 second innings wickets, including that of Afridi, more than making up for is 52-1 first inns figures.
