1. To my understanding this is built on a new engine. Their focus was getting key elements in the feel of the game right, and that seems to have worked beyond some very specific issues.

2. This isn't even a point, this is just more hyperbole. I think you need to learn the difference between a core point and vague ramblings.

3. The game is fun to play, the biggest issue with the game (the crashing) is a problem that occurs due to community content. Ideally they'd have picked that up in QA, but these things happen, and they've taken steps to prevent issues while solving the core issue. Beyond that, there exist no "showstoppers" just some specific bugs that they are working to fix.

4. All games that are still being patched are in the development state. Crusader Kings II was released in 2012 and is still receiving overhauls in patches. The game shipped in a playable state and many people are happy with it.

At this point your bizarre ramblings are just making you look like a crazy person, ultimately undermining your point. Stick to the core concerns, do it calmly, and see what the next patch has in store. Your ranting at this point is helping no one, but what it is doing is building you a reputation of being point blank insane, and incapable of careful, considered, and reasoned discussion about games. Unless that's what you're going for then it would be advisable to work on your tone and overuse of hyperbole.

You are completely lost the moment you said that the core issue is the community content and crashes. Most people can live with the the crashes....but care about the Cover Drive, Stroke Variation, Stats, proper Cameras etc.

These are the fundamental gameplay elements of a cricket game and they are not specific, rare or hard to reproduce issues.

All of these elements are conspicuous by their absence and no gamer or developer worth his salt would endorse/support such a game.

So good luck with that....

Only having the backing from Sony, must've been low budget.
I'm going to have to assume you're a troll now. You're actually using a game made by a Sony second party developer as your example, a company with huge financial might behind it? It wasn't some minor title by an indie dev.

Getting beyond that, the physics and control don't look overly impressive, and the game is drastically less complicated. Tennis physics aren't hard to get right, having two-four people on a field isn't hard to get right. Like, I genuinely have no idea what point you're trying to make at this point. If you don't like DBC 17 for the reasons you're now getting into, then you clearly didn't like DBC 14 for the same reasons. If you don't like the series, why are you wasting your time at this point?

Do you want to know some games where you can power a ball into someone's face without appropriate reactions though? FIFA and PES, two of the biggest budget sports games out there. You want to know some glitchy games that generally take several patches to get right? FIFA and PES, though in all fairness PES has had a few good years on that front, and EA just don't care enough to fix such things anymore as long as that sweet ultimate team money is flowing in. This year alone though, both FIFA and PES have bugs, albeit rare, that involve a goal not being given if it enters at just the wrong angle against the post. This despite having absolutely enormous budgets. The licencing for Barcelona for PES alone is likely more than the lifetime budget for the Don Bradman series, and by an order of magnitude at that. FIFA spend likely more than that on marketing alone.

Being fair I did have a valued opinion on his and it's been overlooked, something I'm used to but, the case is things are being sorted and one persons arguments is not making sense. Read what I have said and then make your minds up, just pays to look into things to get better. Sorry, done it again didn't include thingy (BM5).varunschuey that's him/they.

...and here is the issue. Your key issues include very specific bugs, and things that they likely will have sorted in one patch. The cover drive is clearly in the game, as are a number of other shots that are either hard to produce, or seemingly missing. How do we know? Because the AI do them. The issue appears to be one of something going wrong in the controls. I'd dare say this is a problem that probably occurred in QA after feedback from testers. It's as they say: "99 little bugs in the code, 99 little bugs, you take one out, you push the patch out, 117 little bugs in the code".

As for stats, the stuff is there under the hood. Why it's not included as of now? Who knows, but they'll do something about it.

The cameras is a really odd thing to be so up in arms about, as they're fine. The work properly and look nice. Yet this is the exact thing you see people complain about with many big budget games like PES and FIFA. When "cameras" is one of your headline issues, you know that the anger is overstated.

For the record your two issues (the cover drive and stroke variation are the same problem) are very specific, largely in that some people just don't care that they're missing right now. Much as you don't care about the bowling length issue (which is conspicuously missing from your "complete review"), some people don't care that they can't play a slightly squarer off drive, many having not noticed it's absence.

All the elements of a very good cricket game are in there in some form, even if there are issues that are preventing their use. No gamer or developer worth their salt would fail to endorse/support such a game.

So good luck with that....

I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at here?

Varun clearly stated a lot (not all) of the concerns about the game at the time, and most (including myself) appreciated that. Even if there were already elements of their trademark hyperbole, there were points there to be made. The problem is that with each passing microsecond that BigAnt having released a patch addressing these issues, Varun has gone further and further off the rails and been travelling at quite the rate of knots to looneyville, and clearly has bought real estate there. Whether this is a Sussan Ley style affair and Varun will deny having planned to buy the property earlier is still unclear at this time.

In a nut shell I'm saying this game is playable and things are moving; patience is needed we'll get something really good in time, sit tight for patch three. Furthermore, my experience has changed from reading the advice of others, I hope he pays heed and takes this on board. By the amount written where does he find time to play?

A lot of what he has said doesn't make sense but I need my bed to tired, and I think I should not read this thread anymore. You've been a proper warrior rising to the nonsense. Thanks for that.

Seems like CazC30 is in luvvve with Sir Alberts....all the best and a happy new year.

I don't need much time to play this game as it does not deserve it. I have played it before and after the patch for a few hours and the glitches are standing out.

Will spare another couple of hours after the supposed Patch 3....although I don't hold much hope for it.

But I thought what we had was special Varun!!

Is the plan to not constantly whinge until the patch, freeing up time for other activities, or is the plan to continue on the current course?

Are you planning to update the "complete review" to actually be complete?

You seem to be knowledgeable and at times reasonable. I wonder why you have settled for mediocrity (at best) with this game. I would expect somebody like you to have higher expectations.....

Current course it is :)

I've been vocal in supporting people's right to criticise and say what they feel (even if it's a little harsh), but with some here I do honestly wonder why you bother...

Thread created 20th December, almost 3 weeks ago, and still the rambling complaints come along almost daily. The original review wasn't bad, but pretty much all of the latest posts I see from varun when I open this thread have been totally asinine and a waste of everyone's time. I could understand more around release when people had just dropped the money on it, but it comes to a point where you have to move on and stop moaning, for your own good as much as anything else.

I used to do it, but really it gets you nowhere and achieves nothing so... why? The time could be spent playing or talking about something you do enjoy, or doing something productive in real life.

Why are you on this forum and reading this....nobody is forcing you. As far as real life....I am inside an aircraft waiting for it to take off.....so not much to do.....finally its enjoyable to justifiably criticise somebody who fleeced your money.......especially as they do not even have basic decency to admit their shortfalls.

So now you're saying it's "mediocre". Weren't you calling it 3/10 if you're being generous and 0/10 if you're being honest only a few days ago?

To play on your analogy though, this is like being told "we'll be in the air in 2 hours due to debris on the runway surface", and you're that one passenger that feels the need to shout at the staff every minute or two about how you're too important to not be in the air yet, despite literally everyone else understanding how long it's going to take.

I said mediocre at best and that is for you...for me it's equal to things that I put in the trash. I need to choose my words carefully or I will be banned :)[DOUBLEPOST=1483941416][/DOUBLEPOST]

I was in that exact situation with a 2 hour delay.....Just landed.....Wow...You have telepathic powers as well.....but the only difference is I said nothing to nobody.

The difference being the Airlines did not screw up the aircraft because of ulterior motives or plain lack of effort/commonsense and secondly they had the decency to apologize (although it was not their fault).

You'll only be banned if you personally attack members again like last time.

No one gets banned for simply expressing an opinion of the game.
