Good win for Deccan. Gibbs looked good from what I saw. Gilchrist got a few away, but he has picked up a cricket bat once in 12 months so you can expect some rustiness.

When Laxman hit a six, the funny thing was that the commentator misjudged him for Gibbs. He couldn't believe that Laxman was hitting that flat six over midwicket.

Strangely, fair enough when he misjudged. I sat up from my seat with my eyes as big as the owl's checking if i got fooled or something. I waited for the replay so with just plain mind. It all calmed as i really saw It was Laxman who put that Masterful Pull Shot!

I took that! That made my day, really! I didn't bother when he got out. It was as if he made century that day. I slept with peace afterwards.

I remember a six hit by him in the season 1 in the match where gilly made the century. My happiness doubled when Laxman top-edged it for a six at the back of the ground.

These legends, really. Lol. They're So unpredictable when they're provoked to be slow, useless in T20 and all that blah!

@Match: Great one. The powers of DC are unleashing from that mist that had us losing the matches closely in the First Season.

well said mate.i really hope that DC salvage lost pride this season.i still can't get why they opted for dwayne smith though.they need an allrounder to get the right balance.styris gives away too many runs and the local boys are doing well.i guess they are missing symonds dearly.
i sincerely hope that DC bring home the title this year.

I can't wait till Andrew Symonds comes to the IPL and plays. Edwards will be gone then, but Vaas can replace him.

and i noticed something.
its that DC batting is a three man show-GILLY,GIBBS and ROHIT.
if two of them fail to deliver,the team goes down.look at chennai.everyone is a potential match winner!

Symonds has come back and he has been hitting already some fours and sixes. It's good that he is back, because he is strenghtening the middle order.
