Atleast they listening to the community, its not solely their fault, Sony and Xbox are also apart of the problem no testing games and allowing them to be released with broken aspects. Its most games these days on release, needing multiple patchs.

I bought the game on release day i dont think it is that bad whats being discribed here is scary i think a series of patches will fix these things its nothing to serious people must understand release the game get gamers imput and fix it in patches ....or they could have fustrated every one with constant delays some patients guys

To be fair Sony and MS are not going to care that a extra cover drive shot is missing.... they may not be cricket specialists... they are just converned and the software won't ruin their consoles -- which is strange that PS4 is getting so many crashes as people are reporting! - XBOX does not seem to have this problem at present.

Crashes aren't my main concern. They will definitely be taken care of maybe in the upcoming patch already with Ms and Sony for approval. Other glaring problems can ruin the experience. People should remember gameplay anomalies were there in DBC 14 and were addressed to a large extent by bigant. I don't see why this can't be done again.

I agree with Royces concerns but i would ask you guys t be patient, i just posted my own review, lemme know what you think??

gotta say royce youve made a lot of key points, just voiced them fairly badly. when i read your review initially i dismissed it but after 8-10 hours of gameplay i can see where you are coming from. I wish BA had left the batting alone as it was very very good in dbc 14. The lack of anywhere near 360 degree shot placement really kills immersion and restricts your batting technique, the ai fielding grants you a run every ball, and ive now reached a point in my career where i can advance no further as the game crashes everytime i try. Although im confident ross et al will fix the issues its still fairly alarming they made it through submission. my main concern is that this release will turn people off of buying future BA releases. individuals whom arent on the forum who havent had the level of insight and quality access to the devs that we have may decide to cut their losses after spending over £50 in some cases on a sub par product.

Ok so I have read quite a bit on people saying it's ruining the 'immersion' etc.

I'm not ready to post my review yet. However when it comes to immersion bugs etc don't bother me.

To me it's a game therefore I see past them and hope they are fixed.

Immersion to me is what goes on in my fantasy game of cricket that I like to pretend is real.

So an example of the immersion being broken when I'm playing my test match is the openers after me toiling away, stepping 3 feet to leg and missing the ball and being bowled. For me this kills it more than any bug.

I lose the sense of me achieving something that I have worked hard for. I just get a feeling of meh games a shocker there.

The following two videos are example of two dismisses in 14 I got with the hack that for me are prime examples of genuine beautiful dismissles where I have just got the delivery bang on

I have not seen this yet.
@blockerdave @Langeveldt have you?

Common guys can some one confirm whether there are stats in the game for all players involved in career mode and are they get updated when you advance in to few seasons?

For what it's worth, there are definitely issues. I got caught last night at gully off the shoulder of the bat and there was no appeal in the career mode. Being the sad muppet I am, I then deliberately got myself bowled the next ball mind!
There may well be a cover drive in the game that some people are playing, but I'm damned if I can get it through there. (Against that though in DBC14 I was damned if I could get the ball past a mid off fielder, and this time round I'm scoring a lot through there!)
I'm also no fan of the commentary which seems to often be saying that my team "finished the over as they began" despite me scoring runs in the over!

Does it hit the heights I hoped for after DBC14 and 3 years of progression? No. But is it playable? Yes.

The most irritating part of all this is that theres a very good game here it just needs a few..... tweaks (possibly even fearsome ones) im currently playing a test as england vs new zealand. on a green wicket with 'overcast' conditions. i amassed 296 after being put in mainly thanks to an unbeaten 86 from cook and some lusty blows from broad. New zealands reply started poorly. i had guptill lbw for two latham caught behind on 8 and williamson caught in the slips for 12. at this point the kiwis were 25/3 all 3 victims falling to the burnley express whom was sending the ball around corners. Now as the ball has got older theres less movement and my opposition have recovered to 78/3. The bowling side of things is so much better than it was in 14 now we just need the batting issues resolved

No I haven't seen that at all. I am getting precious few bowleds to be honest. I have had one or two off the back foot where they misjudge the line, but the ball never seems to genuinely beat the bat.

I know it's a topic of debate on here, but wow DBC14 looks good. Although I appreciate the attributes now matter in DBC17 and it's throwing up some good games of cricket, DBC17 feels a bit like that Xbox game, International Cricket 10. Not bad, but more arcadey I think.

Blockerdave was spot on in saying they've fixed what was broken and then seem to have broken what was already fine.

Of the 40 wickets I've taken all have been caught. I'd say 25 of those were by the keeper or in the slips. The only lbw I had was given not out because of an edge...that didn't exist. The reply showed no edge and the ball hitting the foot way before the bat was anywhere near it. DRS is definitely faulty at the minute. It never goes to ball tracking (when there is no edge) when I review decisions when bowling with spinners. That and the fact top edges caught off spinners aren't given out have made it a touch frustrating at times.
