Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

This is the approach I followed when I thought my team had enough runs on the board and we were running out of time... get the whole team run out. Advantage of this pre-declaration days tactic is that you remain unbeaten and boost your average :)

Getting your team run out is all I can see as a possibility but in doing this it is not in the sprit of the game nor is getting yourself runout and then letting the other player playout the innings or hope that the captain then decides to declare as this just waste more over in which you have to bowl the other team out.

You should be able to declare regardless of if you are team captain or not.

Hello

Does anyone know when playing in career mode and you make it to the international ODI and/or T20 side do you ever get to play in a World Cup or ICC Champions Trophie knockout tournament.

If not why not and also if not this is something that needs to also be added in the new release of the game.

Basil.

No. WC, WT20 and other ICC tournies are not part of career mode.

Well it should be after all it part of playing international cricket and is what makes the game more realistic otherwise when you finally make it playing at all levels in career mode what else is their really to bother playing the game for.

Let get it included in the next release please.

I don't understand Big Ants decision to add co-op play to online modes when there were so many issues with online play before this. Surely it would have been more logical to sort out the existing issues before adding something that would create more problems to the system?

And TBH how many people would venture online to play a co-op game? If I have to play against AI, I can very well do so offline. Majority of folks play online to come up against other human opponents and that's why 1 v 1 online gameplay issues should be higher on the priority list.

Guys the online gameplay has been made a lot more smoother than before I have played both Co op and a normal online match after the patch and its been really smooth especially the game with @MattW ....

You guys should really wait for the patch to tell whether the co op and other stuff is worth it or not...But on the other hand I am concerned on how will 2 vs 2 online co op would work considering that even 1 vs 1 sometimes messes the game, hope they get it to play smoothly...

check out these insane cutters bowled to me by the AI... not sure of pitch conditions but would say it's definitely dusty or crumbling.

bowled by a fast-medium:

Don't get me wrong, I think the idea is fantastic and it's good to hear that the experience is less laggy. I just would have thought they would have had the 1v1 tested for a bit first before adding the co-op online as there appear to be a load of "added" problems. I'm just reading too much into the bug reports I guess.

@blockerdave those cutters are nasty!!

We promised that we would introduce co-op because it has been widely requested. We keep our promises.

In order to introduce co-op the online code has been vastly improved. Perhaps it's "illogical" to post about a patch before trying it :p

Bugs introduced may well be because of the overhaul of the online code as much as anything else, we'll fix them.

From the little i have played 1vs1 plays really smooth now even on wireless, most bugs are due to co-op itself as it is natural as it is the first patch with many more to come to smooth it out rather than online itself.[DOUBLEPOST=1433731638][/DOUBLEPOST] @Ross one more option i would like in online co-op would be difficulty level as it would be easier to play with mates who arent used to higher difficulties against AI.

Great to hear about 1 v 1 being smooth on wireless - this is what I was hoping. Any pirates listening, maybe this would make the game worth buying? :p

Well the game is every bit of worth buying but the problem is that in some country (exa .- India my country) 3000 rs (50$) is too much for a middle class user....I m also an addict of cricket but for first 4-6 months even I had to play the pirated version of the game with a local controller(I am a pc user)...then I bought the original gamepad and game itself (ms 360 controller which cost 25$ which is also an additional cost)..and the game needs such true fans of cricket becaue it's really the first genuine cricket game...this is one of the most amazing and addictive game I've ever played and will be...

Preaching to pirates is like banging your head against a brick wall. Pirates will pirate even if you price the game at a dollar and have all the features in the world. I'm sure the rationale that time would be "But it's only a dollar... surely that can't hurt Big Ant that much".

Prices this prices that. In my opinion if you can buy a pc that can run DBC smoothly then you should be able to afford the real game whether you're im Tokyo, India, South Africa, America or freaking Elephant Island!
